The Nightmare Obsidian
The dark element Creation's Weapon is known as the Nightmare Obsidian. It is
a large split-blade sword with a hilt of Dark Truesilver Alloy. The blade of
the sword is made of two obsidian shards, one obtained from the Essence of
Darkness, and one from the Essence of Evil. The Nightmare Obsidian is
essentially an evil weapon, but for some peculiar reason it can be handled by
anybody, dark or light, without problems.
Long ago six factions of evil (All stronger than anything we know of today...)
fought a Multiversal war for control of the weapon. The war lasted for
millenia, until the factions ended up destroying each other and the weapon
along with it. Actually, the weapon was thought to be destroyed because no
trace of it was ever found... Until recently.
It seems that nearing the end of the battle, the Nightmare Obsidian and the
temple it ws stored in fell through a dimensional portal eventally formed by
the long time clashing of dark forces. This portal led to the Shadow Dimension,
conviently where Kurayami spends his time plotting his next moves. Kurayami
finds the sword held in an energy bubble, after sensing a massive amount of
dark energy not originating from the dimension. He releases the sword so he
could absorb its power into his own energy but a problem occurs. The energy of
the Shadow Dimension warps the two shards of the blade when he releases the
sword. They break up and become six beings who call themselves the
"Nightmares", leaving the empty hilt with Kurayami.

Each Nightmare has different attributes and abilities linked to his essence. In
addition to that, the Nightmares were also the leaders of each of the six
factions that fought for the Nightmare Obsidian.
All six Nightmares are practically invincible, with instant healing and
unlimited stamina... Unless they are in close proximity to
the hilt of the sword. If the hilt is nearby and a Nightmare is
defeated, its energy returns to the sword and part of the blade regenerates.
