Chapter VI: A Blast from the…Future? ~J.C.

“J.C.!!” A lieutenant Yoshi yelled as it barged into the commander’s room.

The gold armored Yoshi sitting in the room looked up at his lieutenant. “What’s the problem”? he replied.

“Sir! The scanners in the bridge have picked up a planet that has an aura of immense power surrounding it.”

It’s about time something exciting happened around here, thought J.C. I was getting a little bored.

Standing up the gold Yoshi began to grin and said, “Meet me on the bridge. I want to see if transportation to this strange planet is possible.

“Yes J.C., right away,” responded the Yoshi, and no sooner had he said it he was gone.
Later, on the bridge, J.C. was staring at the read-out of the planet on the main screen with his lieutenant.

“Is it possible to beam me down there to explore?” asked J.C.

“Sorry, sir, but the magnetic field created with teleportation might disrupt the aura of energy surrounding the planet.”

“What about the S.S. cannon?” questioned J.C.

The lieutenant just looked at him with a look of horror. “That thing hasn’t been used since the great war. Why would you want to use it now?”

“Well,” explained J.C., “it would take us more than a year to cruise over there in this space station, and using the cannon would fire me over there in less than five minutes.”

“What!!” yelled the lieutenant “You actually are going to fire yourself to that planet using yourself as a shell?”

“Hey,” replied the golden Yoshi in a stern voice, “I’m in charge of myself. I know my armor could take the initial blast of the cannon. I just would have to let the auto repair take over after I crash land.”

“Well, I can’t argue with that,” replied the lieutenant. “I’ll prepare the S.S cannon for firing.”

Soon, on the space station’s front, a vertical crack in the seamless hull appeared. It continued to widen until it extended to a quarter of the circumference of the massive globe. Then, the massive barrel of the giant cannon started extending from the station. It stopped when it was about twice the length of the space station.

Inside the lieutenant was briefing J.C. “Sir, the cannon is ready to fire. As soon as it is ready again, I’ll fire down a power source for you.”

“Good,” J.C. quickly replied. “Let’s blow this popsicle stand.”

The lieutenant replied by hitting the fire button. A massive explosion erupted from the barrel launching J.C. towards the planet faster than the speed of light.

“YAAAAAAAA HAAAAAAAAA!!” he yelled as he zoomed towards the planet

Meanwhile on the surface of the planet life was continuing as usual, except for one thing. No living creatures were around. Sensing something catastrophic was about to occur they all fled the area. A few minutes later, J.C. slammed into the planet surface disintegrating everything for a few good feet and making a deep crater in the ground.

“Ugh,” said J.C. to himself, “that really stung.”

Looking down at his battered robotic body he quickly checked the damage amount.

“Oh man,” he whispered to himself. “That impact cost me 77% damage. I guess my only hope is to send off a flare and hope someone comes over here while my auto repair gets working.”

Raising one arm a blaster gun quickly popped out where his right arm was and began humming. Soon a flare that could be seen for miles rocketed from his blaster and high into the sky.

“That’s all I can do at this moment,” said J.C. to himself, “now all I can do is wait…”
