Chapter XIX: All Choked Up ~Eugene

After a seemingly endless period of time, Eugene ceased his insane laughter and sighed. "Finally," he whispered, "Finally I am free from the banter of my ignorant 'peers.' It's wonderful to be here!" Suddenly an ominous question arose in Eugene's mind: "Where is here?" For all Eugene had seen since exiting the library was darkness.
        In the following moments,
Eugene felt the darkness enveloping him. As this feeling grew more and more intense, Eugene found himself running, running as fast as he could toward the only hint of light in what he suspected was an earthen cavern. His frantic race had paid off, he had escaped the cavern.

Eugene gradually examined his surroundings. He was in a dry field. Upon further investigation, he caught sight of a small party of about ten people. He decided that there was little else to do so why not TRY to make a friend or two. Eugene began approaching the group of nomads.
Once he was about ten yards away,
Eugene was stunned. The woman he would later know as Kaia was the most magnificent creature he had ever seen. His reaction to Kaia' beauty was an earth-shaking squeal, which immediately alerted the group of the young man's presence. Recovering from Kaia's mystical beauty, Eugene fell silent only to have an odd man named Kyanosa come within an inch of his face and return the loud screech. At this, Eugene swiftly fled the "band of clodpates."
"Well, that was odd," Mazzic calmly said once
Eugene was out of sight. And the group continued their journey.
