Yoshi6400 sat by the window in the cabin, looking at Sapphire sleeping on the bed. He then looked out of the windows, hundreds of stars passing by in the vast expanse of space. He then bent over and picked up his sword, the Illumina Edge, in its sheath. The Yoshi God then unsheathed the sword and looked at it, the metal shimmering in the dim lighting of the cabin.

"What does this mean to me anyways?" he thought as he swung the sword a few times and began to look at it. "Illumina, a name derived from the word illuminate or to light... Edge, referring to the design of the blade, a black core with a metallic edge... But is there more to it?" Yoshi6400's mind continued to drift, he eventually thought about the sentimental value of the sword and how it was the key to his most powerful form. He knew that many people didn't like it's name since it was supposedly a rip off from some other mythical weapon known was the Illumina. 6400 began to wonder if this factor would eventually lead to those people hating him. "I don't want to lose a friend, but if I just stop listening to their complaints, the problem will just sit there. It will arise again and again. I'm a person who prefers to solve rather than ignore, even if my solutions are slightly blinded by anger." the Yoshi thought, "I wish I knew what to do..."

Yoshi6400 then looked back to Sapphire... Then he remembered something that lingered in his mind. He remembered the many times when he made her sad because he couldn't spend time with her or had to leave on an important mission. "Is there anybody out there that's better for her? Am I really destined to be her love? I love her with all my heart, but I make her so sad..." A tear rolled down his cheek as he continued to think, doubting himself more and more. "Would I be able to leave her if I found someone better? Someone like me, just... Better. And if I did, I would die and she would lose her powers. But we spent all our first times together... Would it be worth her happiness to leave those where they are... In the past? I wish I knew." He blinked away some more tears.

Sapphire woke up and noticed that her love was sitting by the window with tears in his eyes. She got up, sat beside him, and hung on his shoulder.
"What's wrong my love?" she asked in a gentle, concerned tone. "It's nothing." 6400 replied, looking out the window again. "It's not nothing. I can see that. Please tell me what's wrong." Sapphire spoke, holding onto her love. "Well, I was thinking about my worth in the world. And I was wondering what would happen if I found someone better than myself for you." Sapphire then looked at the green Yoshi and a few tears started to well up in her eyes. "You're the only one for me. I love you and nothing will change that. I won't leave you Brian. Please let me help you... I want to help." Sapphire then sat there and held onto him, not knowing what else to do. "I wish I had a better use in the group... The Twilighter Council just beat me in one hit... I know that I should have been able to withstand their attacks, but why did I fall?" the Yoshi God spoke as he continued to look at the details of his sword, "Am I just weak? Or is there something wrong with me..." "You're not weak, how would you have been able to unlock the power of your sword and beat Multehx in a sparring battle five years ago if you were?" Sapphire said as she looked at her lover.

6400 then noticed the quote inscribed on the handle of the Illumina Edge... The dreams of the light open the gates to infinity. He then realized that he wasn't weak. Something was wrong with him, his mindset, his dreams. "You're doubting yourself Brian. I know you're hurt and I want to help... But I don't know what to do." Sapphire said as she continued to hang on 6400's shoulders. "Just go back to bed Sapphire." Yoshi6400 said as he put down his sword and went back to looking at the stars. "I won't go. Not unless I've done something to help. I'll still be worried and I won't be able to go to sleep anyways." Sapphire said, "If you left, I wouldn't have anybody to relate to and talk to, maybe Luna, but she's not here. I'd be lonely without you Brian. It doesn't matter what people think about you... Please don't leave me." The Yoshi God of Warriors sat there for a moment and then turned to face Sapphire and hugged her close. "I'm sorry Sapphire. I love you so much. And thanks for bring me back to my senses again. I'm still a bit sad, but I think I'll be okay now." "Feeling better?" asked Sapphire. "Yeah" 6400 said with a sigh. "Are you sure you're okay?" Sapphire asked again, still unsure of his feelings. "Yeah, I'll be okay." replied the Green Yoshi. "Well, I'm not leaving till I'm sure." said Sapphire with a small smile. "Then I guess you'll have to sit with me and watch the stars." "Okay, love." the Blue Yoshi said just before kissing 6400 on the cheek.

The two Yoshies then sat there by the window and watched passing stars, wondering what will come next... Yoshi6400 was sure that the next time the Twilighter Council appeared, he was going to be the one giving them heck for a change...

The Pentastar flew closer and closer to the Spectrum, all main weapons being prepared for an all-out attack. The barrels of the Planet Smasher lasers were already emitting a faint glow. Richter eyed the viewscreens impatiently, waiting for the Pentastar to get close enough so that the Spectrum would be in a good range, while keeping out of their detection... Finally the time came. "Are the guns ready yet?" he asked as he taped a finger on the console in front of him. "Yes, Admiral. All weapons charged and ready with a 98% power count." replied an officer from a control station, "the Spectrum is on our weapons lock and we are ready to fire at your command sir." Richter looked at the main weapons control panel and a smile appeared across his face. "Excellent. Say goodbye wanderers." He then pushed a flashing red button. (Why does it always have to be a red button? Oh well.)

CR suddenly burst into the engine room and pushed Omega out of the way. He then grabbed the helm controls and made the train do a hard turn to the left... "What in the world are you doing?" Omega asked as CR looked out the window. Without warning, two massive energy beams from the Pentastar's main cannons flew past and rocked the whole train. "Saving all of us. That's what. Keep changing the path of the Spectrum from time to time." CR then went back into the cabin leaving Omega to the controls once again. More beams passed by the Spectrum, as the Pentastar continued to fire away. Then came the crash... The Spectrum came to a halt as a beam grazed it and damaged the engine systems. Everyone was in a panic as the train rocked vilontly and continued to be unstable due to smaller laser fire. All of the members of the Spectrum(minus Omega) quickly met up with CR and they were all in panic. None of them knew exactly what to do... The Pentastar was a massive battlecruiser is space, there was no way to fire back or get away at the moment. Ian stood off to the side, mumbled something and continued to watch the others think of a plan. "Wait! I have an idea!" Yoshi6400 said as he stood up and he walked up to Kyanosa. "Kyanosa, how good are you at the Mirror ability?" "Well..." "Good enough. No time for doubts anyways. I remember from somewhere that the Mirror ability can reflect and block energy projectiles with ease, especially lasers. Is it possible for you to go out there and put up a shield around the Spectrum?" Kyanosa saw what 6400 was getting at, but there was one problem... "I can do it, but can't breathe in space." Yoshi6400 looked towards Ian and the boy nodded and immediately left the cabin to look for something. Prism then spoke up, "What about the battlecruiser? It will keep shooting, and the jokester will eventually run out of energy." "I'll take care of that..." replied the green Yoshi as laserfire rained outside, "Kyanosa's not the only one who needs to find a worth in this team... Infinite Factor!" The Yoshi God's armor suddenly changed to white cloaks and some people moved out of the way as large white wings sprouted out from his back! He then unsheathed the Illumina Edge, the blade of the sword glowing, extending, and swiftly transforming into blue energy. Sapphire then got up and held on to her lover. "Brian, what are you thinking?" she said, "you can't just go out there and risk your life." "I'll be okay. Just you wait and see." he replied with a smile. Ian walked back in carrying three space suits. 6400Infinity then took one and Kyanosa followed. "Anyways, there's plenty of healers on board, including you, so I don't really have to worry about getting hurt." Yoshi6400Infinity disconnected the breathing apparatus from his suit and strapped it on since he couldn't fit the suit or the helmet for it. CR looked at the two and guided them to the airlock. "Not the two I expect to save the world, but I trust that you won't fail." he said as they walked in and climbed outside...

Richter commanded his officers to continue the laser barrage until the Planet Smasher Hyperlasers were fully charged. He didn't bother with sending fighters since they would have to take the risk of flying through the fire of the Pentastar. "Sir, there is a peculiar field forming around the Spectrum. It has a highly unusual energy readout." an officer said as he turned to face Richter sitting in the Captain's Seat. "Just keep firing. We'll just wear down the shield." Richter said as he sat and watched... The Pentastar then fired another volley of laser shots at the Spectrum, but this time all shots just reflected back at the massive cruiser! "What the hell was that!" Richter yelled as the Pentastar's shields were hit by its own laser fire. "Um... Sir, the shield seems to have reflective properties that can deflect our shots." "Tell me something that isn't obvious that I haven't seen... Like how to break the shield." grumbled Richter as the men punched scans of Kyanosa's Mirror shield into the computer. "It seems the only way is to wear it down Admiral... There's someone outside on the Spectrum keeping it up. We have to keep firing and wait till it falls." "Very well then, weaken the shield with our minor weapons till the Hyperlasers are charged. Let's see if that person down there can block a Planet Smasher." None of them noticed the winged figure flying towards the battlecruiser at high speeds.

Kyanosa stood on the Spectrum, special magnetic grips in the boots of his spacesuit keeping him on the moving train. He held his arms out and a look of strain was plastered across his face. "They'd better lighten up the next time I make a joke or blow something up... Oh, they'd better..." he thought as he watched 6400Infinity fly unnoticed towards the Pentastar.

Yoshi6400Infinity, didn't feel the effects of the lack of atmosphere in space because of the powers of his AT-Field(an attribute that is exclusive to angelic beings) and the breathing apparatus kept giving him a good supply of air. He easily flew towards the Pentastar till he reached a barrier, the defence shields.. Using the field to erode a hole in the ship's shields, he continued to fly up close to the ship. Once there, Yoshi6400Infinity floated close to the hull and extended the energy blade of his sword, quadrupling it in size. Then he easily stabbed the whole length into the metal plating, the superheated energy cutting through like a blowtorch through butter. "Time to open this sardine can..." he thought... 6400Infinity then spread his wings and dashed along the whole six kilometres of the ship, slicing a long gash as he flew by. Then he flew behind the ship, let go of his sword (letting it fly beside him), and charged up a large white energy sphere in hands. "Heaven's Force!" the Yoshi yelled as he held the sphere out and let a sparkling white energy beam fly out of the sphere at the ship's engines...

The bridge crew abord the Pentastar continued to maintain the systems as the ship continued to fire, until they noticed that they were taking damage. Richter was swamped with messages... "Hull breaches on all lower decks!" "Five of the engines critically damaged!" "Sensors registered that our shields were temporarily breached a few moments ago..." Richter watched camera views of all parts of the ship and he noticed a green figure pass by one before it went out. "Someone's here..." he thought, "But it can't be. A Yoshi God way out here? It doesn't matter." The Admiral pushed a button at his control console and spoke into the system. "Scramble the Razorback fighters and activate all surface weaponry. If that's not good enough, send out Lorel and a group of Auroras... I want that Yoshi shot down!" The Pentastar then began to divert weaponry towards the resident Yoshi Seraph instead of the Spectrum.

A group of fighters flew out of the docking bay and immediately began to converge on Yoshi6400Infinity's position by the engines. The Yoshi God of Warriors grabbed his sword and flew around, dodging their shots, the laser fire hitting the Pentastar instead. "You wanted to fight? Then come and get me!" 6400Infinity yelled as he stopped and let the fighters fly towards him. He let his sword float again and he put his palms close together at his side... "Kame..." Energy began to charge up between his palms as the fighters flew closer... "Hame..." The fighters then began to fire, the shots hitting the AT-field... "Ha!" Yoshi6400Infinity then put his palms out and a blue energy beam let loose from the energy, blasting through the whole group! Then another group of fighters flew in, but before 6400 could attack, they all went into cloak. "So they want to up the ante... I'm fine with that." he thought as he flew towards the front of the ship (with my magic sword following behind), dodging laser fire from various cannons and the Aurora fighters. 6400Infinity then turned and threw a large volley of blue fireballs, the energy knocking out the cloaking field on three of the fighters. One of the de-cloaked fighters seemed to have modified equipment, including extra guns and another set of wings. Yoshi6400 continued to fly, blocking some shots with his AT-Field and dodging others. Yoshi6400Infinity continued to fly at high speeds along the underside of the ship, with his left arm out to so he could fire shots at any canons that may pop up in front of him. The modified fighter continued a close chase, the other Auroras lagging behind. The Yoshi noticed this and hoped that he could be able to get enough distance for his plan to work... He flew past the front and then floated in front of one of the Hyperlaser Cannons. "Come on! Take a shot at me you fool! Can't your ship defeat just one Yoshi?" he yelled, hoping that somehow Richter would hear.

Richter heard it loud and clear... And his anger shot through the roof! His ship was damaged, the engine damage hyperspace jumps, and now this attack on his pride... "Ensign, bypass the overheat warnings, power down Hyperlaser Cannon zero-two, and divert additional power to Hyperlaser Cannon zero-one. I'm going to give this Yoshi what he asks." Richter said in an angered tone. The ensign just looked at him. "But sir..." "DO NOT QUESTION MY ORDERS. Divert the power now!" yelled Richter as half of the bridge crew turned to see what was going on. "Yes sir." the ensign replied as he walked over to his control console and punched in a number of commands.

With a sigh of relief, Kyanosa let down the mirror shield as all weapons fire was diverted towards 6400Infinity. "He's just as powerful as before... It would be fun if I had fighting abilities like his or any other's for once. I'd be able to blow more stuff up." he thought as he stood there, ready to bring up the shield again on a moment's notice. Within the Spectrum, someone else watched as repairs were being made, hoping that her lover would be okay.... Sapphire.

The Aurora fighters continued to follow the Yoshi until they met up with him in front of the Pentastar. Yoshi6400Infinity just floated there firing blue fireballs at the invisible source of any laser fire. Then he got an idea... "Inferno!" he yelled as magical flames surrounded his body. The flames then spread out in a circular wave hitting all of the fighters and temporarily disrupting their cloaking fields. "Now I can see clearly now." 6400Infinity said just before flying up to a fighter and stabbing his sword through the cockpit. The Yoshi Seraph then jumped off the fighter before it exploded, going to another one and dispatching it. There were still several fighters flying about firing laser blasts at the Yoshi God, all the shots hitting(and slightly weakening) the barrier around him. Yoshi6400Infinity flew about dodging shots and watching one of the Hyperlaser turrets aim towards him and show signs of reaching full power.

Inside the Pentastar, some other problems played out. "But you've got people out there, including one of your best pilots, Lorel! You can't just fire!" yelled an officer as Richter asked again about the status of the cannon. Richter, blinded by anger after 6400's taunt, didn't listen and asked again, "Is the weapon ready? Quit stalling and tell me now!" "Yes, the cannon is ready to fire." the officer finally said. "Fire." Richter said coldly, the expression of rage on his face unchanged.

"I'm sorry that you people must die out here but there is no alternative... I know you're just following orders..." 6400Infinity thought as he watched the barrels of the cannon continue to glow brighter. The Pentastar finally fired and the beam plowed through all of the fighters, except for the modified one which just barely got out of the way and want back into cloak. The beam then collided head on with the Yoshi's AT-Field, the energy deflecting to all sides trying to continue movement. Yoshi6400Infinity gritted his teeth as the strain on the barrier took its toll on his essence, his soul... He kept the barrier up till the shot passed, but he knew that he couldn't go until the Spectrum's engine system was repaired. He placed himself between the Pentastar and the Spectrum as the cannon charged up again and fired. "Aaaaaarrrrgh!" yelled 6400Infinity as the pain transferred from the AT-Field stabbed into him like thousands of knives. "One more and I'm done for..." he mumbled to himself as he looked back at the Spectrum, Ian in a space suit working hurriedly to fix the engine. Yoshi6400Infinity had one more idea and he hoped that it would work... He threw his sword in the directiopn of the Spectrum, the blade returning to its original status, and began to charge up another white sphere in his hands. Then he waited for the next charge up which came very soon. "Heaven's Force!" he yelled as he released the beam, waves of light energy emitting from the sphere... The two beam collided and pushed against each other for some time, but the Hyperlaser soon began to win. The Heaven's Force was soon engulphed and the third shot collided against Yoshi6400Infinity's fading AT-Field. "I guess that's it for me. No more energy." he thought to himself as the beam began to break through, "Goodbye Sapphire. I love you."

Yoshi6400Infinity then noticed that the hyperlaser beam wasn't totally hitting his AT-field anymore... Just then, he felt a hand on his shoulder. He looked around and behind him he saw Sapphire wearing her battle armor in her Yoshi Angel form(With a breathing apparatus of course). "I guess this is the third time you've saved my life my love." Yoshi6400Infinity said as he turned and hugged her, their powers and energy fields combining forming an even stronger barrier. Just then, explosions surrounded the turret as the laser generators overheated and the beam stopped. "Let's go Brian, Ian has the train fixed and Ratch was convinced to give us some cover fire." Sapphire then grabbed him by the arm and started to fly towards the Spectrum as a wave of energy blasts and missiles headed towards the battlecruiser. The two Yoshies arrived back at the Spectrum, after retrieving the Illumina Edge floating near the Spectrum, and entered the airlock followed by Ian, Ratch, and Kyanosa. Then the train powered up once again and sped off into space, leaving the Penatstar and Richter far behind. but little did they know that there was a cloaked fighter following in their wake.
