Chapter LXXIV: Next, the Location of the Left Socks! ~Multehx
One of the side cabinets of the spectrum thumped loudly, breaking the silence by 6400's discovery. Ian walked over and opened it. Numerous pieces of a metal suit of armor- helmet, body, arms, legs, boots, all fell to the ground, then assembled themselves into a rather irate Kenzo.
Kenzo waved his arms angrily. "Why the hell'd ya LEAVE me in there! I only was supposed to dissassemble for a sec to see if I could fit, then you open it, but ya LEFT me!!"
Ian shook his head, obviously irritated. "Look, I'm SORRY. I forgot when they wanted some stuff."
"Hmmph, I probably missed a lot of good stuff too!" Kenzo growled, and looked over to the table, spotting the boots. He swallowed nervously, or as best he could, as he lacked a throat or any muscles. "Ooooh gods.." he thought, and all he could say, in a slightly surprised voice was, "Tex's boots..'ey found em.."
Several faces looked into the darkness of his helmet into his eyes. "Did you know about this??" 6400 asked. Kenzo flateyed, responding rather sarcasticly, "Yes, I happen to be Tex. I only act like a jointless magik enhanced suit of armor for kicks."
Ian, CR, Jaded, and Scilas all smirked, and the assassin whapped the back of Kenzo's head with a hand. There was an echoing clank as the helmet seperated from the bevor and crashed to the floor. Everyone but the original wanderers looked a bit ill. Kenzo's head grumbled as his body walked over, picked the helmet up, and fitted it back onto his body. "FUNNY, Sci, very funny. You're a real riot; you should quit the killin racket and take up comedy as a livin'." He grumbled. Scilas chuckled to himself and Jaded shook his head, grinning.
Kenzo looked around and spotted Kuryami, nearly jumping a foot in the air before assuming a battle stance. "EH?! This punk doesn't look friendly, and I get some MAJOR bad vibes from him! He must have taken over the ship while I was...busy!"
Several folks tried to stop him, but they were too slow. Before they could get the words out, Kenzo aimed a punch for the evil yoshi's head. Kuryami promptly dodged, and the punch missed. Kuryami took a swing, and missed. Kenzo began to mock him when another punch flew forward; nailing him squarely in the chest. With a sound like a falling metal block tower, he fell to a heap on the floor.
Most were sort of surprised as the pieces reassembled themselves into the form of the Mechna Knight, and he snorted angrily, reaching for his axe, the Baax on the floor with his right hand. Something didn't feel right to him. He should have been able to grab the handle now, but he couldn't feel it when he closed his fingers. Looking down, he saw that his right hand was missing.
He looked pretty surprised, taking all thoughts off the fight and turning his attention to his missing appendage.
Hunh? What the?...where's my hand?!" He surveyed the cabin, finding no sign of it. He began a frantic search, paying no heed to Kurayami now as he looked for his limb.
It was about this time CR walked in. He looked over and commented "Ah, Kenzo, there you are, good having you back." The Mechna Knight paid this no heed and continued looking. CR shrugged and turned towards the gang. He cut off 6400's question with his own announcement. "Folks, we're nearing the planet Nimbus, but we have a problem."
"And that is?" Mazzic asked.
CR leaned on his mahogany red cane (with no crook handle). "Well, at this rate, it'll take 24 years to reach it, where the obsidian happens to lie nearby. Something is slowing the ship down and we can't achieve full speed." He then looked over at the rather reluctant arrival that was brought by Vector. "And who have we here?" "Like I don't already KNOW." He thought, mentally smirking. "Buut, maybe this will help break the ice between them and the gang." He shrugged and looked back to Kenzo.
The knight, totally oblivious to the fact that the question about the boots had been averted, still looked frenzied for his hand. A few moments later, he got a brilliant idea, and using control of the limb, caused the hand to snap it's fingers. Sure enough, a loud, slightly metallic snap echoed in the car. He looked over towards the sound, trying to find it's origin and his hand.
