Chapter LXXXVII: Crazy Planet? ~Naaro
"No, Rynn, I'm not letting you go," Naaro stated firmly as he sat at the helm of the Andromeda, checking its systems for takeoff. "But why not, Naaro?" Rynn asked. "I asked CR about it earlier...he said that there's going to be something bad happening on Yoshin very soon. I want you and Kai safe," he told her as he flipped several switches. Rynn blinked, surprised. "Something bad? But what? Naaro, you can't go alone!" she cried. Naaro sighed, and turned. "Look, someone has to go get that Creation's Weapon. I think it should be me, especially if the Prime Dimensional Essence says I'm going to need it. If something happens, I want you two safe on the Spectrum, okay baby?" Rynn finally nodded. "I understand...but how will I know if you're safe? I don't like you going off alone if something bad will happen." Naaro then got up out of his seat and wrapped his arms around Rynn's waist. "Baby, I'll be alright. I've died once already, I'm not gonna let it happen again, okay?" He gave her a re-assuring smile as he gazed into her eyes. Rynn wrapped her arms around his neck, looking back. "I know...but I worry. I love you and I don't want anything to happen to you." Naaro nodded. "I love you too baby, and I don't want anything to happen to you or Kai. I'll be fine, really. You just take care of Kai, okay?" She nodded. "Hurry back to us?" she asked him, smiling. He nodded with a return smile, saying, "You know I will. Now hurry back on the Spectrum, I'm about to take off." Rynn gave Naaro a quick kiss and returned to the Spectrum. He saw her wave goodbye, but what he didn't see were the tears flowing from her eyes as the Andromeda flew off toward Yoshin, disappearing into space with a twinkle.
Naaro kept the ship on a steady course. He thought of Rynn as he went. He regretted leaving her behind, but he knew that she was safe and this was better in the long run. He, on the other hand, was in a bit of danger. What was going to happen on Yoshin? Was CR's prediction even accurate? He pondered all these questions as flew toward Yoshin. As he continued flying, he noticed what he thought to be a ship behind him. "Huh?" he thought as he looked at it. It was green and white, with 2 engines visible from his vantage point, and a delta-wing configuration. A voice suddenly called out to him via radio, and it sounded familiar as it said "Mind if I get some directions to Yoshin?" It was Vector. "No, I don't mind," he replied. "Thanks," Vector said, "Merlin's decided not to give them to me." "Merlin?" Naaro asked. "My ship...though it likes to think of itself as above me at times, I still technically own it," Vector answered. Naaro nodded, and proceeded to give Vector the coordinates. Once he was done, Vector simply said, "Thanks," and in a flash his ship was gone, apparently having entered hyperspace. Naaro sat back and decided to wait, knowing it wouldn't be too much longer before he arrived at Yoshin.
Soon enough, Yoshin had come into visual range. Naaro looked upon the lively world and smiled. The Andromeda was soon through the planet's atmosphere and heading to Karmalia, the home continent of Naaro's race, the Karmali. He landed at the village he had left before to ask the elder, Hajir, about any powerful weapons on the planet. When he came out of the Andromeda, however, the village was empty. He took a step forward, and almost instantly, several small red dots were trained on his forehead. "Hands up, Karukylis." Naaro raised his hands and glared into the bushes the snipers were hiding in. "What the hell is this about?" he snapped. "You're under arrest for stealing the most sacred treasure of the Karmali, the Pendant of Primus." Naaro blinked, half in disbelief and half in anger. "What?! WHAT?! I'm the leader of the Karmali, for cryin' out loud! Why would I steal something that's given to me by position?!" A calmer voice, the opposite of Naaro's, responded, "We have heard from a very reliable source that you stole it from Hajir, the real Karmali Leader. Do not resist, or you will have your wife and child added to our list." Naaro let out a low and menacing growl. One of the yoshies emerged from the bush and removed a pair of handcuffs from his belt. "Now, hold out your hands." Naaro let out another growl, but complied. The yoshi snapped the handcuffs around his wrists, and suddenly a jolt of high voltage shot through Naaro's body. While it was only a jolt, it was designed to knock him unconscious, and that's what it did. As he fell to the ground, the rest of the yoshian soldiers emerged. They held him up as best they could, and the leader then emerged from the bushes. He was dressed in the gear of a Yautja Hunter, complete with a Bio Helmet. Unlike most Yautja, however, this one spoke Yoshian. "Thank you for capturing that horrible criminal. It disgusts me to see such filth out and about. I'm sure his family will be just as disgusted as I when they hear this." He walked up to the soldiers, and flipped open a panel on his bracer. The buttons on the bracer had strange symbols on them, incomprehensible to anyone who was currently conscious and in the area. He pressed in a few buttons on it, and the group was suddenly surrounded in light and teleported to North Yoshin City, where Naaro would stand trial before the Elder Council...
