Chapter CI: Under All Surveillance ~Multehx
One of the twilighters shivered as the call of a wild animal broke the forest. He stopped, trembling.
"M-master, are you positive we should be here?"
The other twilighter faced him, looking less then pleased. "Yes, it's the perfect move. Divide and conquer remember." He raised his hand, pointing it toward the forest. A black glow surrounded it, then a thin black beam shot off into the trees. In seconds, a portion of the forest was blown to ash, and the cries of the animal ceased.
The aged demon put down his smoking hand, tweaking his moustache with the other. "There, it quite alright to go on?"
The other aged fellow nodded and the two proceeded down the trail.

Rebdok laughed cruelly. The higher members of the yoshi species were trying to prevent him from entering deeper into the sanctuary. He simply laughed as their shots did nothing more then cause him the pain of static shock. He continued forward, quite gruesomely hacking a few yoshies to bits in deft movements of his scythe. In moments, the resistance lie in blood pools about the room.
Rebdok threw up his hood, laughing as he deeply gashed a tapestry or two as he continued in.

Fanah grinned ruefully as she stepped nimbly out of the way of a gunshot. The soldiers of dragon haven seemed to be particularly mortal- "Perfect!" she thought. She laughed as she dodged a few more shots of gunfire. "Come on, can't you biiig strooong men hit a weak little girl?" she mocked, winking and blowing them a kiss. She laughed again as this infuriated them, and they all opened fire. She did a jig of sorts, evading the bullets that riddled the ground.
Then, out of thin air, she vanished. The men looked puzzled, and some ran over to the spot where she was. One lone guard remained, blinking in surprise until Fanah's hands fell on his shoulders. He tried to yelp in surprise and alarm, but found he couldn't speak. The demoness turned him around, grinning coyly at him. She bent down a little, planting a gentle kiss on his forehead. His eyes clouded instantly with a magenta haze. She winked at him and he nodded, turning, and opening fire on his commerades. One by one, they were shot down. Fanah laughed, drawing her whip. Before the soldier under her spell could turn, she ensnared him around the throat, and the grip of the weapon grew steadily tighter, cutting off his air supply. After a moment or two, he slumped weakly to the ground, limp. Fanah detached her whip and coiled it back on her belt, chuckling.
"Foolish man, couldn't stop a weak little girl from causing a little destruction." she cooed, laughing and running off toward the edge of town. Along the way she cracked her whip into a lamppost, knocking it over and into a house, which it immediately ignited. As she ran through town, several more houses had their windows shattered, or shudders whipped off, and such things.
Running up a hill, damaging a few remote cottages as she ran past, she stopped infront of a massive and ornate structure- that which had become known as the crystal palace. She slowly grinned. "Whyr above, there's gonna be fun tonight." she chuckled, entering.

Nictem laughed heartily as Kazi, Globeston's tanks unleashed another barrage of laserfire up at him. He pulled some arial acrobatics and dodged the blasts, forming a yellow sphere in his free left hand. He swung it at them, sending the orb flying. When it was about fifteen feet from the ground, it exploded into a mass of airborn electricity that leapt from tank to tank. Black smoke billowed up from them, indicating their internal circuits had blown- probably killing the passangers. And for those who hadn't been, the heat would have sealed the hatches, preventing help from reaching them in time.
The twilighter laughed maniacly. He looked up as the drone of airplanes got his attention. "Stealth bombers.." he muttered, grinning evilly. "PERFECT! Come and get me, boys!! See how long you can last!!"
He laughed insanely again, holding his staff up. Black lightening began to crackle around the head, a black and purple sphere forming on it as he chanted "Mal sep phe.." Finally, he threw the staff to a position pointed at them, shreiking "RE-TAH!!" The sphere rocketed at them, them condenced into an almost microscopic pinpoint, and EXPLODED into a vast array of rippling black shades; almost like a twisted mocking of the Aurora Borealis. As the sky grew darker, sparks began to fly from the planes; their wings shot from their bodies, trailing thick black smoke. The pilots tried to eject, but found the cockpits had sealed shut. The crafts began to plumett, and, to the horror of one pilot, one straight for the twilighter.
Nictem glanced up, wondering what this whistling noise was that was nearing him, and smiled maliciously as he found what it was.
The pilot screamed as he drew nearer to the demon, and Nictem raised his staff, laughing in a deep voice. He drew the golden staff back, spun it behind his back in one hand, and, as the plane neared hitting it's target, thrust it out, black bolts of lightening spraying from it and engulfing the craft. It seemed to be held in mid fall for a few moments before becoming a fiery explosion.
Nictem grinned and adoringly kissed an ornate silver ring on his gloved hand. The central, gold jewel which seemed to be a monster's eye with a black pupil glinted for a moment before returning to normal. He clenched his fist, snickering. "One down, a few left."

Nero and Cydak seemed to be faring just as well. The two had taken Yamuchi, and the peaceful mushroomlike inhabitants were no threat. Nero threw out his dice at a nearby mushroom shaped house and they hit the side of it, clattering to the ground, a five on one, a two on the other. The dots glowed a brilliant red, and the house seemed to fall to ash as the red glow surrounded it. As he went to retrieve the dice, he looked over at Cydak, who was taking on a group of mushroomanian people who were dressed as law enforcement. Cydak neared them, and a blue glow surrounded him. He seemed to focus, then swept his right hand at the two. A wave of the blue energy crashed over them, and left them dazed on the ground instantly in it's wake.
Nero smirked as he tossed his dice in his hand and caught them in one hand. "What was that blue stuff, pal? Never seen you fight before."
Cydak looked over and nodded. "It's a technique of uniting body and the spirit of power. 'Noh-Vah'"
"Noh-Vah..hmm..interesting. Sounds weak compared to the power Lady Luck gives ME," Nero grinned, tossing and catching his dice, "But ya do what goes with yer groove." He looked over towards a building with the sign "Vault" in BIG crayonish letters on it. He smirked, heading towards it. "Almost too easy to find this one.," he murmured.
