Chapter CXII: Once More in the Game ~Multehx

Havering growled in thought as he hovered in mid space. "Let's see...I'm not really physical yet...not really nonexistant...I'm a ghost of sorts as it stands." He shook his fist, snorting. "Until those two INCOMPETANTS find that weapon and REVIVE me to full!"


He shook his head, exahasperated. "So..what'll I do till then?," he wondered placidly. A few moments passed. A rogue commet or two streaked by. A meteorite shot through his opaque form, not distracting him in the least. He finally snapped a gloved finger, grinning. "Self preservation! I can't let myself be destroyed in this weakened state; I'll have to stay alive. ...but how?"


He reflected a bit more before laughing in a deep voice. "I'm a genius! It's so obvious! I'll posess one of the heroes! They won't risk killing a commerade, so I take a spot with one's soul, threatening to rend it to nothing if they try to eject me. Hwahahahah...I am too smart for existance's good!"


And so, in split seconds, he traveled from one to another, trying to determine the perfect host. He sized up the ones on First Earth. The boys...were frankly pitiful; there was even wrong with two of their heads! Mental problems. And the third boy...he was too much of a risk taker. No, they wouldn't do. The girl...well, she was very intriguing. Her power was pretty nice...but... He shook his head violently. She was some demon of a status lower then a Myrealik- the species that was traitor to demon kind and lived AMONG humans! He shook his head. No, she definately wouldn't do.


Appearing elsewhere, he sized some others up. The two trained killers...fair potential, though neither could use any magik. He studied C.R., and almost instantly a voice run in his mind-


"Back OFF Havering. Touch my soul and I will SO vaporize your essence back to the mid-dimension."


He snorted and turned to the boy...and was almost instantly forced to double over at the piercing pain. "Something about him...I can't posess him...something won't let me.."


Yet again, he vanished, reappearing hovering over the hoshi. Almost instantly, his stomach turned. Shuddering, he dared not even go any nearer. The smell of a longing for someone and romance was putridly wafting off her into his Twilighter nostrils. Before she noticed, he was gone.

He reappeared in a cockpit of a robot mech- a Gundam. He frowned at the back of the red yoshi's head. "Bah! Too angry inside to control him to make rational decissions!" So, this time, he appeared in the cockpit behind a female, blue, winged yoshi manning a Gundam located in a cave. He smiled broadly. "Ding ding ding ding! We have a winnah!!," he thought, instantly merging with her soul and taking the place of her shadow. He chuckled to himself. "Heheheh! Perfect body! She's so caring, so easily influenced by a man with my power and evil nature, so SAD inside- she'll cave to my will!!"


The form of the Time Bender tapped her on the shoulder, she spun around and gasped in shock. Though she had never seen him before, there was something utterly...terrifying to the good heart in Havering's malicious smile. "W-What are you doing here?!" she near screamed. Pseudo chuckled. "Madam, I am the illustrious-...wait, you've never met me. why bother with introductions?" He cleared his throat and continued. "I would be here, as I now posess your soul."


"W-h-why me?!"


Havering sneered. "Why not you, is the question? You fit the qualifications for the body to provide me safe harbor till I am once more whole." Rynn trembled, beginning to understand that this fellow was NOT joking. "When w-w-will you leave me a-l-lone??"


"When I am once more of this world. Any attempt to eject me shall result in your very soul being shred into tiny particles of nothing." He paused to sneer, then went on. "There IS an afterlife...but under that fate, you'd only experience eternal darkness at the end of your road, which would be quite instantaneous the moment I enact it." He turned his attention towards the hatch of the cave that served as a door. He drew his opaque, blue cape around him. "Now, we shall have a visitor soon! As your new master, I will use my new position and make you annihilate him."
