Chapter CXIV:
Regroup, Restrategise, and Get Lucky ~Multehx
C.R., Jaded, Scilas,
and Ian stepped from the
C.R. muttered something to himself, causing Scilas to
ask him to repeat that. He looked up. "I said, it's a @#%$ shame he bashed
one of the council members."
Jaded quirked a brow. "But, how do ya know that
and how come?" C.R. tapped his head. "I just know these things."
Jaded nodded and C.R. continued. "As for why it's bad, well, think of it-
The council will know what some of the worst from us is, they'll prepare and
gear up to be prepared for that, MINIMUM.
It means we're gonna have to work even harder to be
even half a match for em."
The mercenary groaned, realizing the truth in this. None of the group said a
word until they set foot back in the town.

Rynn appeared in the center
of town. Pseudo rubbed his chin and slowly nodded. "Yes...right place..but it might be a bit dicey
to show myself before I learn the current situation." He patted
Rynn on the shoulder, her eyes cleared as she
regained her conscious mind and actions. Havering vanished and her shadow
reappeared. Though there was no sign of him, he was still bound to her;
watching and hearing all that went on, though she was free minded once more.

A rip-hole opened and a strange figure dropped onto the pavement. He cursed as
he stood. He straightened his hat and dusted off his cloak. "Why I keep
trying when it's gonna kill me someday, I dunno.," he muttered to himself. "I should get a
medal for my persistance from the villians
society!" He paused, thinking. "Well...if I didn't kill the founder,
rob the treasury, and call the lot a bunch of 'Pansy baby weakling sorry wussy excuses for craddle robbin sidekick material'." He rubbed his hat, then shrugged, looking around.
He pulled a small, electronic device from his pocket and turned it on. It
beeped steadily, and he clicked it off, grinning ruefully. "Well, got 'im now. Second rate, ha! I'll show them all." He
snickered, walking into the heart of town.
