Chapter
CXXXIII: Star Wars ~Grimace Death
Grimace Death stood up from the table at
which he sat. He turned and headed for the door.
"Hey, what about your food?" the waitress said. "You still gotta pay for it!"
"I don't have any money," Grimace Death said as he continued towards
the door.
"Hold it, you either pay or I’m calling the cops..."
The waitress had already set down the tray
of food and headed to block the door.
"Have it your way," Grimace Death replied as he raised his arm up in
front of him. He opened up his palm towards the waitress. She started to
shutter. A black aura swamped his palm. It moved down and eventually filled his
entire arm.
"You have fallen victim to the Flame Noir."
The darkness plunged forward and engulfed the body of the waitress. As she
screamed out in pain, her flesh charred and sizzled. Within seconds all that
remained was her burned corpse. Grimace Death raised his staff, and sucked in
the floating blue light; another soul to add to his collection.
He turned to see the horror on the faces of the onlookers. He then raised his
arm again and the diner exploded in a bright flash, when it faded everyone else
was dead.
Time to add another strand to the
necklace, he thought as he walked around the diner.
As he stepped outside of the diner, feeling more confident about his abilities
on earth, he looked up in the sky. It had since darkened, from earlier and was
now a dark blue color. He was surprised though at the
fact that the stars were not as present. Yet, he was in the city. As he stared
blankly at the sky he saw two shooting stars. No wait, they were moving back
and forth.
Do shooting
stars go different directions? Grimace Death
thought. I thought they only went one
way. But then, they're not shooting stars.
Just then he saw a red beam fly out of one star and explode upon impact of the other.
If the
power of that star was greater, he wondered, and under my control... causing the apocalypse may
be a lot easier... But where could I get that kinda power?
He pondered for a moment, and then in the
blink of an eye, he vanished in a puff of smoke and flame. An onlooking
bystander paused for a moment, before he ran of in a fit of horrified rage...
