CXXXIV: A Shadow and Two Angels ~Yoshi6400/Sapphire/Multehx707
"Hey Brian, this thing just popped out
of a rip hole and I think you should take a look at it." Sapphire said,
rising up to the StarDragon's cockpit via a lift cord.
Once up, she handed 6400 a golden communicator device.
"Hmmm, seems to be something from CR." 6400 looked at the device more
closely and he noticed two buttons, a red one with 'Summon' inscribed beside it
and a black one with 'Portal' inscribed beside it. First he tried the summon
button and he spoke in the communicator. "This is Yoshi6400 at planet Yoshin. Is there any way to pick up Sapphire, me and a
friend?"
After a short moment of silence the sounds of a raging battle came through and
Omega's digitized voice was heard. "6400, we need some help here."
the robot said as the sounds still roared, "Multehx
and Havering are taking on the whole of the Twilighter
council and the rest of us are stuck in some sort of firewall."
"Is there any way for CR to warp us there?" Sapphire worriedly asked
while she strapped herself in her seat.
CR then came on the line, talking through Omega. "No. Special powers seem
to be blocked by the wall, but there is one way other way for you to get
here... You see the 'Portal' button? You can push the button down, call out a
destination, and the communicator can form a rip hole that goes there. Oh and
don't forget to state a size and position or the rip hole could appear anywhere
at any size. By the way, if you can, get the biggest and best bottle of wine
you can find."
Yoshi6400 was about to say something before the line broke up and he lost
contact. "Darn, forgot to ask how many times this could be used..."
he said before holding up the communicator and staring at the black button.
Just then, a video window popped up in one of the viewscreens
and Kuroihoshi appeared in it. "Is there
anything wrong over there?" she asked, already in the Shadow Mage and
waiting for what to do next.
After a reply of "Nothing's wrong, there will be a rip hole forming
shortly...", 6400 pressed the black button and
called out the destination along with the size and location of the rip hole.
Soon, a large hole in space-time formed in front of the two large mechas. The hatch of the StarDragon002 closed and the
Mobile Armor walked in, followed closely by the
Shadow Mage. The Mobile Weapons then stepped out of the other side and into the
B-3 floor of the Crystal Fortress. The three Yoshies
then parked the Mobile Weapons in the docking bay area and walked along the
catwalks to the lift that went up to the ground floor. Kuroihoshi
arrived at the lift a bit behind since she had to get her Eclipse Staff from a
storage compartment in the Shadow Mage. In the lift, Kuroihoshi
and Sapphire watched 6400 as he held the golden communicator in his hand and
looked it over. *I hope there's still
enough power left in this thing* the Yoshi
God thought as he watched a red light blink on the device.
"What'cha thinking about
Brian?" Sapphire asked.
"Yeah 6400, what is going on in that mind of
yours?" Kuroihoshi asked right after,
leaning on
"Nothing. Actually, there may be a problem. There may not be enought power left in this thing to form another rip
hole." 6400 replied "But I had to risk it because there is something
important that I have to get... and I'm not talking about those new pillows
Sapphire bought. I'll go get it and meet you outside the front gates in a few
minutes, okay? Oh, could one of you go to the kitchen and get a bottle of red
wine? Don't ask why..."
A 'ding' sound then ran through the lift and the doors opened letting the Yoshies enter the main control room. A.L.I.C.E. greeted
them, mentioned the situation with Fahna, played a
voice message from Geno about Rebdok, and then let
the three go on with their business. Kuroihoshi and
Sapphire went through to the main hall(the security
system is off now), Kuroi headed for the kitchen and
Sapphire headed for her room. Sapphire changed her clothes, tossing the dirty
ones in a laundry hamper and putting on a clean black t-shirt and blue jeans.
She then started gathering her things, then stuffed the pillows into a large
plastic bag and almost forgot to grab her empty jewel capsule shells. She went
and grabbed the jar off its place on here book shelf, tried to fit it into her
bag and found no space. Kuroihoshi walked into
Sapphire's room with a bottle of red wine in one hand, a half eaten microwaved burrito in the other, and her staff in compact
mode strapped to her back. Kuroihoshi stood by
finishing up her burrito.
"Grrrrr..." Sapphire said to herself.
Kurohoshi walked over wondering what the matter was.
"Whats the 'grrrr' for?" Kuroi asked, putting down her red wine bottle.
"I can't fit this jar in and I thought I was a master packer"
Sapphire said.
"Well lets see what we can do." Kuroi said kneeling down next to Sapphire and taking a
look.
"Hmmmm lets see...what do we have here," Kuroi said taking out band aids, bandage, chocolate,
playing cards, a stuffed dragon, penicls, paper,
eraser, sketch book, Prisma colors (pencil crayons),
chips, a sweater, a watch (digital and waterproof), a can of pop, a pair of
socks and a book
"Well, that is a lot of stuff, you gonna use it
all?" Kuroi wondered.
"Yeah, course," Saph said.
"Okay, just checking," Kuroi said with a few
hums afterward.
"Well I think you can fit the jar, buuuuttt if
you can't then you could give it to 6400," said Kuroi.
"Yeah, I guess."
"Hey, what are these for anyway?" asked Kuroi
curiously.
"Well their basiclly for healing, I fill the
empty ones with 'thinking' magic. It takes a lot of concentration and a good
amount of energy and a bit of quiet time to fill them. I usually just think up
what I want to heal and find the right spell to fill the capsule, then concentrate on those two things so that the capsule
doesn't fill with the wrong spell."
"Cool. So what capsules do you have already?"
"Well, I have a bone healing one for broken bones, that one's recent, a
skin regeneration one - it's old - and a hair growth one - its
old too. I think thats about
all I know. I have more, just can't think of them right now"
"Cool. Uhink you'll come up with more?"
"Yeah, probably more useful ones, too."
"Well, guess we should go downstairs and meet 6400 now," Kuroi said, finally figuring out how to fit the jar of
jewel capsules in and zipping up Sapphire's backpack.
"Thanks," Sapphire said with a smile, twirling a sparkling wand in
her hand. "Looks like we have another master packer going around"
"Yeah, I guess. Well I, too, have done a lot of packing in the past,"
Kuroi said with a grin.
The two left Sapphire's room and then made their way outside and saw Yoshi6400
already waiting, a white cloak draped over his suit and cape. In his hand he
held an ornate box with runes inscribed on its sides.
"What's in the box?" Kuroihoshi asked,
noticing the glowing light seeping out of the gaps between the box and its lid.
Yoshi6400 opened up the box to reveal a number(Crud.
Forgot the number again...) of glowing silver bullets all with runes similar to
the ones on the box inscribed on them. Out of all the silver bullets, there
were three with extra glow, added inscriptions, what seemed to be four
retracted fins, and 'H.E.A.T.' inscribed on them. "These are Holy Silver
Bullets, special shots crafted by extremely powerful mages over many
ages." Yoshi6400 stated, "They're EXTREMELY powerful and deadly."
"Those bullets were the gift Multehx gave to you
a long time ago, before he disappeared, right?" Sapphire asked, leaning
over and admiring the shiny bullets.
"As Multehx would say, right."
6400 replied before continuing the descriptions, "The three special ones
in the box are Holy Silver Bullets that I personally modified and enhanced. I
call them H.E.A.T. rounds."
"I'm sure they don't mean High Explosive Anti Tank
rounds," Kuroihoshi said standing and looking
down at the bullets, "knowing you, there's something more meaningful
behind the name."
"More like Holy Explosive Anti Twilighter
rounds," the Yoshi God said with a grin,
"CR's mind wipe after the Zolott
affair didn't totally work on me and I did remembered a few small things. After
Multehx's disappearance five years ago, I was somehow
inspired by a faint memory of Havering to make a shot that could drop a Twilighter in one shot. I decided to modify some of the
Holy Silver Bullets that Multehx gave to me long
before Zolott. Using purified caffiene
crystals, a small scrap of Metalloy, and an even
smaller scrap of Infinty Gold, I formed an alloy that
was fusable to Holy Silver. After taking the risk of
making the alloy with my only pieces of Metalloy and
Infinity Gold, I rushed to the library room and looked through the books to
find anything that could help. Then in a room in the first basement floor of
the Crystal Fortress, I used magic spells from the old books and my imagination
to fuse three bullets with the small bit of new alloy and change them."
"Oh, okay." Sapphire and Kuroihoshi said
simultaneously after hearing the description.
After Sapphire and Kuroihoshi got a good last look,
6400 closed the box and shoved it in the magic item pouch strapped to his belt(little brown pouch, looks small from outside, unlimited
space on the inside). Then he pulled out the gold communicator, pushed the
black button, and called out the rip hole location and
the destination. To his relief, a hole opened and the three Yoshies
stepped through and into the Spectrum. Sapphire and Kuroi
quickly went to put some stuff away and they came back(Sapphire
now wearing an armored outfit), both ready for
battle.
Yoshi6400 took off his cloak and tossed it to the side. "You two
ready?" he spoke, looking out a window.
"Looks like the party started without us," Kuroihoshi
said, a black aura appearing around her due to the planet's dark energies,
"shall we go?"
Sapphire twirled her star wand and threw it upwards, a radiant glow emmiting from it. The Wand then extended and changed shape,
turning into a golden bow with green accents and a silver string. Sapphire then
caught it in her right hand and held up her left, a glowing blue arrow appearing
and falling into her hand. "I'm ready."
Yoshi6400 was the first to step out, pulling a brick out of his item pouch and
unsheathing his sword. He immediately ran up to the Twilighters
and yelled "Who wants to play a short game of dodgebrick?!?!"
just before chucking the brick at the group, the image of the brick blurring as
it zipped through the air. All the Twilighters in the
area dodged the hyperspeed brick except one, Nero,
who had a hunch that the brick would miss him. Unfortunately for him, the brick
went *SMACK*
right in the middle of his face and crumbled into dust after impact. "I
guess I... took a wrong gam... ble this time..."
he said, collapsing and going temporarily unconscious.
"Infinity Factor!" Yoshi6400 dashed through
the group knocking many of them over, white wings sprouting from his back and
parts of his armor changing into cloaks. 6400 then
slammed into Rebdok and the two skidded off to the
side and began to fight it out. The sounds of clash between
scythe and beam sword ringing from their area.
"Here's what you get for attacking Yoshi's
Malachai got up and turned to see Kuroihoshi
suddenly appear out of Necronimus' shadow and
Sapphire floating above the ground in Angelic form with the glowing blue arrow
notched in her bow. "Where the h*** did they come from?"
"Well, I came from the shadows." Kuroihoshi
replied, "and don't worry, the good alignment of
my dark magic allows me to harm you Twilighters with
it." Kuroihoshi then sunk back into Necronimus's shadow, pulling the robot in with her.
Sapphire released the glowing blue arrow and it sailed at the group of five Twilighters(Malachai, Nictem, Fahna, Jadea, and Vole) with sky
blue sparks trailing off of it. Then the arrow let out a flash and split into
two, then those split making four, then eight, then
sixteen, then thirty-two... The group had little time to react to the arrows
flying at them(originally, they expected one), many of
them lodging into flesh and burning away soon after. Sapphire then flew up into
the air and notched another blue arrow, letting it loose as Multehx
and Havering got closer to the enemy group.
Kuroihoshi was having an okay time, fighting against Necronimus a continent away from the others. The two
essentially floated a fair distance away from each other, firing away with all
they had. Loud explosions rocked the area as missiles and fireballs clashed
with shadow beams and blasts. After a while, Kuroi
twirled her staff, batting away a blast, and then said "Shadowkinesis". The shadowy auras in the area began to
take mass and fly at Necronimus, forming a
translucent black sphere around him. Kuroi then waved
her staff, the sphere moving with it, and pointed towards a mountain. The
shadow sphere then shot at the mountain and floated through it like a ghost
through a wall... Necronimus, who was dragged along
inside the sphere, wasn't so lucky and he smashed through the black rock as the
sphere took him for a ride. After being smashed around, Necronimus
broke out of the sphere and formed a large red gun in his hands, flames
billowing from the barrel. He then aimed at Kuroihoshi
and fired a massive blast of superheated flames, the air molecules in the path
of the blast glowing red before being absorbed into the flames. "Unnamed shield!" Kuroihoshi
quickly exclaimed, a translucent white sphere forming around her. *Can't hold
this barrier up for long...* She thought *Never expected him to have so many
abilities. There has to be some way to disable him... Wait, I know.* Kuroihoshi moved out of the path of the flames and at Necronimus until she was too close to be hit by
super-special attacks. Then she held her hands out and formed small portals to
the Shadow Dimension and guided them so that the robot's arms and legs went in
them. Finally, with a flick of the wrist, she swiftly closed the portals,
slicing off the parts.
"What the?!?!?" Necronimus
exclaimed "Why you..."
"I'm sure you'll be okay after your auto-repair kicks in... if you have an
auto-repair system. Well, I gotta run. There's a
battle I should return to." Kuroihoshi then
dropped into a portal and appeared beside Sapphire in the air. "So, what
now?" she asked Sapphire.
"I'm not sure..." Sapphire replied before firing another split-arrow
down at all the Twilighters below. "That green Twilighter with a scar looks a bit familiar, but I don't
know why."
Kuroihoshi then noticed Havering...
"I do know that kinda seethrough blue one beside
him. Excuse me, but I have a score to settle with him." The Shadowmancer Yoshi then flew down
at Havering and swung at him with her staff. To her surprise, her weapon sailed
right through.
Havering chuckled. "Foolish lizard, not changed a
bit, have we?"
"Well, I see that you've changed somewhat since we last met." Kuroi replied, shooting a small shadow blast that also
sailed right through the Translucent Twilighter(but the blast did leave a few singe marks on Havering),
"You've lost weight... To an extent."
Havering glared at Kuroi, brushing his affacted clothes off. "Ha ha, tres amusant.
I'll have you know I was summoned back by a less than powerful enough source; I
had no choice in the matter, whereas, you have plenty of a choice what you do
with your less than average looks, I dare say."
A shot from the Twilighter council flew at Kuroi and smashed against an invisible barrier. The Yoshi swiftly fired back and turned to face Havering.
"You know there is such a thing as an un-summon,
right? With all the dark energy around here, I'm sure it would be easy for me
to send you back to where you came from."
Havering spat and smirked, summoning a translucent brandy snifter, filled
halfway, and taking a sip. "Bah! You are so simple, dear girl! Why would I
want to go back, when I am gaining momentum and will be fully revived in no time?
And besides, I must reinstate my glorious empire once again; you know, the one I started working on after slaying that
teacher of yours." He snickered. "Kill was too easy."
"Kuren was old and powerless. You clearly knew
that. You just killed him because of the vast knowledge he had about the dark, and about dark species like Twilighters.
If you wanted a challenge, why didn't you fight me there and then? Or were you
scared when I learned your Unnamed Shield and Shadow Blaste
Maximae by just merely coming in contact with
them?" Kuroihoshi then snapped her fingers and a
purple aura appeared around her staff. She waved it at Hevering
and to the Twilighter's surprise,
his cape disappeared back to mid-dimension.
Havering folded his arms, smiling. "Girl, you know I am no match like
this- I am a spectre; I cannot kill, nor can I be killed. But, once I reattain
my full power, you shall learn some respect for your elders. I did him a favor sending him from this mortal coil and it's problems! You should be thanking me to the nth
degree."
"Respect? Thanks? You have to be kididng me. You are right about one thing though, it won't
be much of a challenge to banish you now. I'll be there to make you fall at
your peak... To deal the ultimate disgrace." Kuroi scowled before sidestepping out of the way of a
flaming energy beam sent from the direction of the brawling Twilighters,
"But enough of this, I believe there's a battle to be won? I'm sure those
enemies of yours aren't going to be friends to my friends, so I guess a truce
with you would be okay for now..."
Havering rubbed his chin. "I suppose..," he began reluctantly,
nodding and adding, "Just stay out of the way and leave this to the
pros." He charged towards the fray, reading a blast of purple magik in his hand.
"You kidding me? I am a pro." She then floated towards the heart of the
battle with black aura around herself and purple aura around her staff.
