Chapter CLXI: Just Posting… ~Kaye

Mazzic pushed his way back into the room that Kaye, in a moment of boredom had dubbed 'The Nook'.

The Arcanian was lounging in a chair, tracing patterns in the air in front of her. A butterfly, an apple, then last one looked suspiciously like a boy in met– Kaye waved her hand through the shapes and they disappeared.

Adrian, on the other hand was sitting on the edge of the bed looking somewhat peeved. Her tail lashed around behind her as she stared at the floor of the room.

"Update?" Kaye asked.

"Blackout was the cause of something having to do with the purple guy, um, Kura…something," Mazzic said. "Kyanosa, Ian, Havering, and C.R. have all left, but not all together, and we have some weird demon locked up and a werewolf hanging around in the main car now."

"How, with all that happening, am I still in here completely bored?"

"Because you haven't written in 19 chapters…"

"Oh, right," Kaye sighed.

"What is wrong with you?" Mazzic finally asked Adrian, who was still glaring at the floor with a look that could kill.

"She's a little upset that C.R. left without telling her." Kaye glanced at the Auran. "Apparently she wasn't kidding when she said she'd do anything for him."

Mazzic blinked. "I'm sure he didn't mean to leave you behind."

Adrian didn't reply.

"And I'm sure he didn't give her another thought. Those demons sometimes; they can be so wrapped up in themselves," Kaye shrugged. "But if it weren't for them I guess I'd be home wasting my summer vacation away in a job of some sort earning minimum wage."

"Well we're not making any money here, but we do get free food."

Kaye stood up, and after deciding it would be best not to disturb Adrian, walked past Mazzic out of The Nook, down the hallway and back into the main room where everyone was doing their own thing, in their own time. Because for every thing there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven, or something like that anyway.

"Oh this is just great. With C.R. gone and Kyanosa having taken Gundam Lustrous, there is no way off this ship in order to advance the plot. Not that I have anywhere to go anyway."

Kaye suddenly blushed as everyone in the room turned to look at her, and she made a hasty retreat back to The Nook.
