Chapter CLXXXII: A Small Interlude, Back on Yamauchi ~Markior
Back on Yamauchi...
Klongo came out of the door of Markiors' old Lair.
It was a silly sight, someone appearing from where only a door still stood, but
it happened. Walking down, he pulled his bag along. Strapping it on his back,
he started walking. Down the rubble, dust and sand of the remains of the lair,
his feet were met with the cold of the snow of Chilly Hills. He started his
journey, walking down the cold snowy mountains of Yoshi's
Scaring the occasional Chillbillie away, he
eventually reached
"Hi there, Yossshiess. I'm here for the weekly sssshopping..."
Klongo smiled, the slow-witted green friendly brute
looking around the village-green.
He looked up, his gaze met with a statue of Markior.
Blinking, he walked up to the blue-skinned Yoshette
kneeling in front of it, placing flowers there.
"What'ssss thissss for?" Klongo asked, tilting his head.
The female Yoshi looked up at him. "Oh? Oh, Klongo...
Hi," she sighed. "Well, look around you. From this village, you have
a good view of the rest of the island."
Klongo turned around, looking over the island. He saw some fires in the
fields, flashing police-lights in the bigger city of
The Yoshi sighed, standing behind him. "It has happened, you know.
The Village Elder told us about when this would happen...the Guardian Spirit
has died. And just now, the effects of him not being in the world of the living

to...fall."
She sniffed softly, looking at the statue.
Klongo turned around again. "My massster
wouldn't die without telling me. He'sss like that,
you know. Very ssstrict about rulesss…A

The female smiled a little, but still sighed. "That's not funny Klongo...just look. It's true."
That moment, the statue started to crack, tears forming in the stone. As
the tears reached the eyes of the statue, the stone crumbled away. Klongo, the blue-skinned Yoshette,
and the numerous inhabitants of
Small beams of light shot from the statue's eyes, flashing through the
area: first the village, then the island itself lit up in a bright flash.
Shielding their eyes, Klongo and the female
Yoshi stood there. Turning around, they opened their eyes again and looked out
over the island. The fires had been put out, the sirens from the city had
stopped, and the clouds looked white and fluffy as ever.
Klongo grinned. "Ssssee?
I told you he wasssn't
dead."
The female Yoshi smiled again, relieved.
From above, the Yoshi Gods and Goddesses looked from the clouds.
"Thank goodness," Luna smiled. "I was starting to worry,
here."
"Yeah," Sparkle nodded. "Almost thought
we actually had to go down there."

It was just like in Markiors' dream, back on Zolott – the island in flames with the statue of him, and
the lonely Yoshette in front of it. With his revival,
this dream has ended. Now, the circle is complete.
