Chapter CLXXXIX: For His Eyes Only ~Havering

Pseudo Havering faded into existence in his chambers. He took off his spectral helmet and set it on his desk. Taking a seat in the wooden chair, he picked an average looking book from the bookshelf, undid the magik seal locking it. Flipping it open, he flipped past numerous pages filled with his neat handwriting in the flowing language of Rhenzin (True Rhenzin, that read just how the words are pronounced; true scholars would have trouble deciphering it...)

He cleared his throat, sat back in his chair, closing his eyes, and pointed the index finger of his right hand at the book. The words rapidly appeared in the same blue ink as those on the previous pages. In fact, the words no sooner crossed Havering's mind then they were written down. To the trained eye, the words could be deciphered to read:

X Day XX Month XXX Year

Here I am, yet again with this pathetic band of vagabonds. I don't know how I put up with them, honestly; they have the manners of those not even worthy to be wine attendants. I can only hope my better nature holds up until I see things through here.

I must say, the 'Smokey' blaggart does offend me by his vile, vile presence to no end! To imagine; ME, a demon of highest pristine evil dealing with that...that...SIMPLETON! I think I shall corrupt his soul upon my full revival and utilize his psionic abilities as a mindless peon in my services. Yes, he would make a splendid 'grunt' hand.

In other news, it would seem the warrior and the mana-user are long lost relations. This seems to confirm my theorem that I did propose to the Demon Monarch (The meeting of '44) that the loss of magik to the populus somehow dechlorinated the gene-pool *snicker*.

Will someone PLEASE shut that damn spear UP?! I mean, Whyr Almighty; maybe only the mana-user's brother can hear it directly, but its words carry and reverberate on many a magik wavelength obscure to more modern minds. There's room for *one* evil, schemer on this trek, and I'll hurl that spear to eternity's end if it tries to upstage me! Mark my words- I am NOT a villian to be undermined!

Let me sum up the rest of this (insert adjective at later date) crew: First off, we have the mana-user and his brother; frankly, I can say the agent's reasons for being at odd with the lizard are different than his brother's, but I am unsure which is greater. Now, we move on to the warrior lizard and his girlfriend; the warrior is indeed mighty, but I think his weakness to darkness will make him easily bow to my kind. His girlfriend is another matter. While inclined to be more curative than her other half, this might prove a threat to me in the future. Her nature prevents her from realizing this though, so I am immune for the present.

We then reach the boy known as Kyanosa Canopus; A very 'unique' specemine to say the least. One body, two minds, no real sense between them. I don't know too much about the lad, as honestly, he's confused me quite thoroughly and not allowed for any real analysis. Note, as it might sometime prove helpful to me, he is rather fond of 'kitty cats' and 'flowers'.

Vector Sprint- I haven't heard from the lizard in ages. I presume him safely dead, and therefore, of no threat to me whatsoever.

Kaye Glenwater(Did I spell that correctly? Hmm)- This girl fascinates me. She seems closer to the demon species than most of them. This might make her easily corruptible to our side; I shall keep my eye on this one.

Adrian- The "beast girl" from our Zolott rendezvous. She seems to have cybernetic enhancements, and seems a better fighter for it, though it limits her transformation abilities somewhat. Perhaps, using her wild nature, "influencing" her to see my vision shall be possible...

Scilas- A professional assassin from Parallel Earth. This man remains a mystery even to me. Very fast and very skilled.

Jaded Mercenary- The most mysterious of our crew. The only reason I know of him is through...past "involvements" with the man. He is definitely a factor that shall play against my hand in the future.

Kenzo Yhezl- The accursed Mechna Knight who accompanied young Falore on his retaliation against my former figure-head master, the Mechna Lord. A defected commander of "The General"(The second of us "3 Generals", along with "The Assassin" and myself, known as "Harbinger" at the time). Apparently turned to good when he saw Falore's true goal from observation from afar. A bother how incessantly he strives for good, usually with the net result of defeating myself.

Naaro Yoshi- A "Karmali", i.e. a special breed of the lizard race, of substantial ability. Seems to be host to a dark power of extreme measures. Should be interesting to see where this goes.

Rynn- The wife of Naaro, mother of son "Kai". Cheerful and supportive, she seems to be the moral glue that binds this group together in hard times.

Rainstorm Yoshi- A sorcerer who is a "precipiwizard"(Did I get that right? Probably just paranoid), i.e. a man skilled in the magik arts involving the various forms of precipitation. A man moving down the path of Magik learning in life. Respectable choice I say.

D'Nel Albright- *laughes* This young man...no threat at all really. A bungler who wishes to be a truly legendary "Multiversal Pirate" along with his Capsule Droid, Ray Noh.

Ray Noh- The robot companion of D'Nel. Slightly less inept than the boy, he fares a decent chance of making something of a name for himself. Never really will be anything of a threat to my reign.

Prismaya Spectra Yoshii- This "princess" might be a problem in the future. She seems to dislike me already, and her strong light and holy based attacks pose a potent counter to my dark abilities. True, this works vice-versa as well, but I'm not sure. Time will tell.

Mazzic- A clone of the evil lord Mazzic. A man of notable physical ability. He lacks in hands, but that doesn't seem to dull the pain inflicted by his skilled punch.

Ratch Havoc-Commander Havoc...a once loyal Infect, the prototypical model of the Infect line – in fact, I believe he changed sides shortly after his defeat in the spire, and my replacing him with Scorn. Though his power is immense, he has yet to gain mastery of it, hence why the agent easily trumps him with less in the way of attack strength. I shall be keeping my eye on Havoc; he is never without something "just in-case".

C.R.- Ah yes...the yang to my yin. The current Rip Watcher...a Twilighter of power that poses a threat to my own. He was responsible for leading operations to clean my "Corrupted Rip" of much of its darkness, remaking it to his liking. I fear what threat he could pose to me if he were not bound by his job restrictions.

Multehx707- Yes, as a matter of fact, I have found the agent to be alive and well. I realized his presence in this all when I stopped to reflect on some things- Sensing the energies from my "Noch Talht" still alive and well gave me the premonition that, if it survived the journey I sent the agent on in tact, it was highly likely that he did as well. Then, on Nimbus, trying to "read" the boy...C.R. would only shield someone of my mental delving if they were of key importance to shield from me. SO I realized, and I put two and two together- What being could move about with such silence, such *stealth* as to be totally unanticipated with his appearances, yet still is right under our noses?

I don't mean to get off on a tangent, but 707 is the linchpin reason to my being with this group. One of the big ones at least. The energies of the diamond continue to grow, and I have felt their effectiveness recently- He simply laid a hand on me, and instantly, for a brief moment, I was fully animated again! Unimaginable! I only thought it bestowed the "Rage Force" upon its holder, but now I see that it hides a much deeper power within it.

I WANT that diamond. It seems to be my key to an eternal Multiversal control! I need that gemstone...but another major reason for my being here is present. One of the Twilighter Council; I know which one exactly, I will not state who at the present, is scheming to thwart me and take the diamond for their own plans of total domination. The smokey one thinks I am "afraid" of them. Honestly, yes. I am afraid of them...as long as...this person is in their midst. Twisted with hatred and longing for vengeance, this being has retained his sanity and already achieved certain accomplishments that make me long gravely for his demise. This might be the greatest detriment to my revival yet...and to this crew's survival.

My apologies in advance to myself mainly if I forgot anyone. A lot is on my mind, pardon the brain cloud.

Pseudo lowered his finger and opened his eyes. He shut the book, redoing the magik lock, took off the mental barrier he had put over himself to prevent his private thoughts being invaded, put on his helmet, and paced over to a window. He stared into the blackness of space for a minute. He groaned/sighed, resting a gloved hand on the pane and lowering his head.
