Chapter CCV:
Dial O for “Oh Mother of God!” ~Multehx
Nictem sneered as Multehx glared at him, snorting as he recovered his stamina.
"So, feeling the burn yet, 707?" Nictem taunted.
Multehx growled, slightly angered. "You keep on laughin' while I break that jaw of yours offa yer face!"
Nictem showed mock hurt on his face. "I'm truly hurt; you don't realize how that just killed all my kind feelings toward you."
He looked
seriously hurt for a moment before bursting out in laughter.
Multehx growled and swung his claw diagonally upward. A shadow projection burst through the rock wall and aimed itself to impale Nictem. However, the Twilighter quickly moved to the side of where he was hovering, only suffering a minor cut instead. He shot a glare at the other Twilighter.
"G'nyaah, you shall pay for causing me pain!" he bellowed, throwing his hands out.
His body and arms began to pulse with a black light and flames of the same ghastly shade formed along them.
"Prepare to
meet your ancestors – SOUL CORROSION!"
White flames
flew from Nictem's hands into the air above him. Each
changed slightly, forming into the shapes of ghastly faces and ghoulish forms
before they streaked toward Multehx with hellish
speed. Multehx threw up an arm to defend before being
engulfed by the spectres. The force of it smashed him with his back to the wall
with such force that he was driven several feet in, and a giant sized crater
formed around him.
Pseudo winced as Nictem flew down and readied a flame in his gloved hand at outside the crater. He grinned demonically. "Weatherman's callin’ for a HOT one tonight!!"
Throwing his
hand forward, the small flame instantly became a rushing pillar of fire,
shooting from his open palm, crossing the distance, and pouring over Multehx's body with dramatically intense heat.
A sound the
mixture of screams of agony and an unceasing rushing fire filled the air. As
the fires finally faded, a slightly charred, with clothes still burning in
spots, Multehx forced himself off the wall and pushed
off hard, lunging for his prey. But Nictem didn't even
blink or move a muscle. Pseudo frowned, trying to figure out what the Council
member was up to, until the gleam of the lava's light bounced off the staff in
a hand behind his back. Instantly, the idea came to light.
"Agent, watch out! Behind his back–" the Time Bender began to cry out, but it was a moment too late.
In a rush of
movement, Nictem pulled out his golden staff, dodged
to the side of the agent slightly, and smashed the ornate rod down upon him. Multehx went spiralling downwards toward the sea of lava
below. But Nictem wasn't about to let him go yet. Deftly
pulling his clawed hand up with a flick of his wrist, the lava below the agent
shot up in a molten geyser. At the head of it was a tremendous hardened ball of
lava.
Instead of
crashing straight through the object, the ball proved to be firm enough to cause
707's body to smack into its surface with tremendous force, almost giving him whiplash
and snapping his neck as he impacted. The orange-skinned demon chuckled sinisterly
as the geyser continued upward rapidly, until the ball crashed against the
jagged ceiling with great force. The lava died down, and the rock fell away
from the hole its impact created, leaving only Multehx
still stuck in the ceiling. Eventually, gravity took over and his body fell
loose and began downward. But his boot was still stuck in the ceiling and he
dangled there.
The agent's assailant appeared before him, tsking and putting his arms akimbo. "Hmm, quite a situation you're in there. Care for me to help shake you loose?"
He snickered
cruelly as he crashed his staff into the side of Multehx's
head, then followed up with a vicious knee to his face, and finished it off
with a flaming claw downward, which raked a bloody trail across the demon's
body and caught him on the chin.
Pseudo shook his
head and Grimmy wiped sweat from his brow as they
watched 707 plunge down to a fiery fate that awaited
him below. Grimmy leaned over and muttered to
Havering something about "Casey Jones:Part
2."
Nictem looked down, half-amusedly before
throwing his staff down with great speed. It beat Multehx
down and seemed to stick standing straight up on the lava's surface, only
slightly immersed at the base. The strange design of its head pulsed with red
light as the lava boiled violently. The staff shook, then flew straight towards
the falling Multehx. The head of it struck the small
of his back with such force that it pierced clean through, continued up and
stuck in the cieling, dripping the agent's green
blood. Multehx spiralled as he fell, slower than
before, but now with a nasty hole clean through his chest. He bounded violently
as he hit a portion of the rock wall that stuck out slightly. But, as he turned
and continued falling, he caught hold of a small stalagmite protruding up from
it.
He strained to
maintain his grip, over the pain in his body. He felt his life's blood trickling
onto the rock and eating away at it with its acidic nature. He could only sense
the boots of his opponent taking alight on the protrusion above the stalagmite.
He could feel himself weaken and his hand began to grow numb. His vision began
to blur and distort. He grew dizzy and felt his hand slipping free.
