Chapter
CCXXII: It Was Never Called Easy ~Multehx
C.R. opened his
eyes slowly. By the clock he kept in the forefront of his mind that three hours
had come and gone. Reaching out with his senses, he was pleased to feel the
energies of Mr. Dareklite and Rebdok
clashing heads. He opened his eyes again, sitting up. He had recovered quite
enough to move about again. But something hit him like a slap to the face at
that moment.
Reaching out with his mind again he located the disturbance. He swallowed, folding his arms as he stood up. A shoe nervously tapped on the ground.
Dammit, this is NOT good, he thought. Exhaling, he tried to calm down. O-K, best not to worry more than necessary with
this news...uh...let me see...first to get the person who selected that back at
the selection.
Clearing his
throat he used the oh-so-handy telepathy again. Focusing in on the mind of one
alien being, he began, Hello, Markior, it would be C.R.. The
reason I'm blocking any return mind signals is because this is important and I
cannot be interrupted. Listen, Fanah is on the move
and headed straight for the Spectrum. Now I've...well, 'foreseen' certain
distractions, and let's say they'll last a few hours, so we're working within a
space of less than five hours. Now if you respond quick,
you can cut her off before she reaches the Spectrum. But if worse comes to
worse...I'll find a way."
