Chapter CCXXXIX: Ideal ~Multehx

There was a burst of black fire in the ornate throne room, heralding Tehxnot'lucan's teleportation entrance. The room was unlit, so it was quite dark indeed for the late evening hours. His eyes immediately adjusted to the darkness. Glancing around, the Twilighter set eyes on the throne on the raised dais. There in it sat the one he had returned to talk to.

"You should be pleased to know that the agent is still alive,” T’lucan nodded. “I just finished informing him of the 'challenge'."

The other raised his head to look across the room at him. "And what did you inform him of, exactly?"

"Not much at all really. Just of my continued existence, that we have the Hoshi, and they've got quite a task awaiting them if they hope to gather a force of opposition strong enough."

The seated being nodded in approval. "Very good. That works just fine. Let them find the other perils when they do." He groaned slightly and spoke with a slight wheeze. "Has any word been gotten on the two?"

T'lucan shook his head. "None. The Rip Watcher and the Time Bender are..." he sighed in frustration, "beyond detection on any plane of existence. They aren't even registering as spirit-energy remains; that means they aren't even dead."

Another groan from the seated person before he said, "Then...something must be hiding them from the sight of any. Make preparations a once to- urrgh..." he winced in pain and settled back in the chair.

T'lucan looked concerned as he took a step forward. "You seem pretty bad off, are you sure I can't–"

But no sooner did he take the step than the seated one threw out his hand and bellowed in a murderous growl, "Stay BACK!! I ORDER you to stay there!!" He coughed and lowered his hand to the armrest. "No one may see what has become of the collision of those great forces that caused the imbalance and started this all. If I am to unwrite what is, I can have no memory of what will possibly be."

The tainted split from Multehx bowed his head and took a step back. "I will comply."

"At the present, go check on the girl, make sure the containment is intact."

T'lucan saluted and walked off through the double doors to the hallway.

As his steps faded from hearing, the being clutched a shaking fist and bared its teeth, narrowing its eyes. "Soon....soon enough, I'll make you all pay for doing this to me, count on it, you bastards," he said in a hushed growl.
