Chapter
CCXLIII: Never Trust a Man in a Jacket ~Multehx
Kenzo cocked an eyebrow slightly. This guy certainly was a difficult case. He set about answering the questions in order.
"Well, in reply, I must say that, one, because you're not the average man I see in the street." You have a nose, for one. "Two, yes, your presence does, and it's not as mere as you'd put it, and three, no, I followed you up here for quite different reasons. Namely your strange appearance and your ability to leap up on buildings catch the attention and make me ask questions."
He began to pace slightly on the rooftop, swinging his axe back and forth slightly as he did. "Now, I have seen numerous with special abilities as displayed with that of your jumping." He turned, pointing his axe at the darkened castle. "As for your interest in that, I was actually pondering, quite honestly, if you knew who dwelled within. As I'm looking for several people quite honestly, and one of them might be within."
As he looked at the man carefully, several things crossed through his mind. "I've got to find any trace of the others. Who knows where they are. Who knows what those scumballs of the council could be doing now. Now I'm here, standing on a roof, with a horrible fake name that was a total rush job, talking to one of the most doubting, strangest looking...ah, things, I've ever talked to. Rrgh! How do I get into these things! Graah, think Kenzo, think! What would Tehx do...
Well, knowing him, he'd say 'This punk is a waste of my time.' Then he'd say for us to come on, and we'd go exploring something that looked unusual to him....hey...that's not a bad idea.
He turned to the roof's edge, saying, "You know, you're a tad too confusing for me," before jumping down to the street.
There was a
thunderous clank and the pavement cracked a bit from his weight, which people
seemed not to think of very often. With that, he headed off in a direction he
had vowed to go again when he had the chance. There had been a strange old guy
he had wanted to question, and no time better than the present.

The sun shone brightly on the desert sands below. A lone figure trudged across the sands, dabbing his head with a handkerchief. "Dammit," he cursed. "It's so dang HOT! Blondie, what have you gotten me into NOW? Halfway across the multiverse, doing what you want, and it ends me up in this hellish wasteland!"
The robot groaned. He cleaned his sunglasses before he continued trudging on, the heatwaves just radiating from his body.
"I tell
you, I am so going to hurt him when I find him again." it muttered, trudging
on.
