Chapter CCLXXVI: Death Sobers Everything ~Bulaklak

Bulaklak was getting impatient. It had been a while since Jeremy left, and she was starting to be impatient. The stares she had been getting since she sat down were also beginning to get on her nerves as well.

She sat at a table by herself, lifting her mask ever-so-slightly once in a while to sip her water. One group seemed to be getting ideas, as they were glancing at her and snickering. After a while, one person stepped out of the group and walked over to her.

He was big, seeming to be in his late teens, and judging by his stench and the state of his clothing, he had not washed in weeks. In his hand he clutched a nearly-empty bottle, and he slurred his words as he spoke.

"Well, what's a little girlie like yehself doin' 'ere alone?" he said, seeming to be looking right through her.

She had met several of his type in her travels, and she knew there was only one way to regard them. As fools.

"Ain't yeh even gonna answer me?"

Bulaklak sipped her water, not even glancing at him.

"Don't yeh know how teh speak?" he slurred, his eyes bulging angrily.

Bulaklak yawned and stretched slightly, still not even considering him.

"Yeh better come with me and m'friends," he grinned drunkenly, attempting to grab her shoulder, "We'll teach yeh how ta talk!"

Bulaklak dodged easily, infuriating the drunk even more.

"Ah'll kill yeh, yeh little whore!" he shouted, swigging the last of his drink and breaking the bottle on the edge of the table.

In a flash, Bulaklak was up, drawing her wakizashi in a almost-liquid movement. The drunk bellowed and started after her. Bulaklak jumped on a table, and leaped at the drunk, catching him in the chest with her feet and knocking him over.

She stood over him, holding her wakizashi to his throat. Instantly sobered by it, the drunk whimpered and slowly pulled back, until he reached the door and ran out, closely followed by his friends.

Bulaklak causally sheathed her blade and sauntered back to her table as if nothing had happened.
