CCLXXXII: Telling History of His Own Past ~Travallian
In a poised position, Keshi merely smiled at what Chrono was saying. He could sense that the younger Yoshi was expecting rejection; was afraid of what he was going to say. With a smirk slowly curving his lips, he laid a hand over his mouth for a second in thought then drew it back, laughing casually.
“My dear boy,”
he started in a kind tone. “My fellow winged Yoshi…so not fear rejection. I
too, was born with wings. However, I was born as a
Perhaps I should tell him who I really am…he thought to himself for a second. Or at least partially tell him. He seems trustable.
He glanced out the window, noticing that the sky was a violet color; the sun was coming up. Putting a hand into his pocket, he took out an odd looking ring. It looked ancient and gave out a strong magical aura. He slowly slipped the ring onto his index finger on the hand which already had what appeared to be a wedding ring placed on his ring finger. He said a few words in a strange language then turned to look at Chrono once more.
“Now then,” he began to speak in a more serious voice, “I shall tell you my story, child, since you have told me your own. I suggest that you get yourself comfortable. This will be a tad long. I usually do not tell others this in such an early time.”
He slowly folded his arms together on his chest. “I am from the planet Yoshin many years ago. To tell you the truth…I am immortal.”
He bared his fangs slowly then retracted them back.
“To be more exact…I am a vampiric Lord from the past. I once lived on a location where there were many medieval islands long ago that I fear no longer exist as of now. There were six islands and the main island in the center. The largest island. The one in which I lived on.” He looked down slowly then looked back at Chrono, “There were nine royal families who lived on each island. Three of those families lived on the largest island I shall now refer to as Crystalforce. Those families were of the Yenshiko, the Winged Yoshi ‘Angels’ of Holy Magic, the Voltenka, the Dark Sorcerers and Sorceresses of the Mist Lands, and my own family known as the Harudaki family, or HardSlash if you must call us that way. We are most known as the Crystal Keepers of the Crystal temple, or sadly, the Dark Vampire rulers of the Crimson Region Although, I admit…there was another royal family known as the Crystalforce, but they allied with my family and gave us the roll of being the top rulers of all the islands…” he began to mumble to himself, “…I still think my father, Lasereth, had the right to offer the status to Zekoru, but he refused it since he was much older than my father…hmm.”
Keshi narrowed his eyes slowly and he slowly tilted his head to one side, trying to examine Chrono’s expression; trying to make sure that he was listening to him. Getting up off the chair to stretch his massive dark blue wings out, he walked over to a mirror. Typically, you could see his reflection, but what was odd about it was that the mirror image seemed to take its own movement sometimes instead of following his every move. Slowly, he turning to look at Chrono again, but the image on the mirror did not move. It was now looking the same direction Keshi was facing. He tried to make his voice as normal as possible.
“Both the Yenshiko and Harudaki families
were known to feud constantly. The first of the lords, Altravin
Harudaki and Yizkansh Yenshiko fought endlessly in the beginning. Within time, Lord
Altravin chose to stop the pointless battles. Even
so, Master Yizkansh grew angry of his rival’s
attitude. Yizkansh cursed my ancestor by leading him
to the vampiric areas of the
“Years passed and there seemed to be no signs of attacks from the Yenshiko Lord. All seemed well until the truth was found. Yizkansh made an attempt to make himself stronger with a Yenshiko spell. Alas, the spell backfired. Yizkansh turned himself into a demon. A demon known as Yizkaran currently in Crystalforce history. The horrid part about this was that Altravin’s younger brother, Ezvir, used his magic crystal of time to try and change the effect of the spell to cure Yizkaran. Instead of curing the Yenshiko Lord, Ezvir found out the hard way of this demon’s power and turned his own brother into a demon.
“Yizkaran’s was the ability to affect others and make them
demons as well. This ability is now called Ezvir’s
Curse since he was the one who unleashed the power out from Yizkaran.
Angered by this, Altravin, or now known as Altrovos, killed Ezvir by the new
evil that pumped through his veins. The two first Harudaki
and Yenshiko lords are still alive, I fear. However,
the two Crystalforce demons known as Yizkaran
and Altrovos have been locked away by my other
ancestors. They were locked away within the
Keshi turned back at the mirror and stared straight at the reflection. In a split second, the mirror image seemed to shift into a ParaTroopa form in a flash of white light, but reverted back to a Yoshi figure in a dark haze as if to give Chrono hints.
“Hope I am not boring you, Chrono,” he chuckled. “Although, I will continue. My tale is not yet finished and this is very important.”
The vampire Yoshi moved orange strands of hair away from his face and proceeded towards to chair he was sitting on earlier then sat down. Looking rather calm, he cleared his throat and began his story once more.
“Away from my ancestral past and more about myself, I was one of the youngest children in my family of four brothers and one sister. More so, I had a twin that was quite rude and rambunctious compared to myself, but he was a good brother, nonetheless. As years passed, I too was hit by Ezvir’s Curse when I was but a mere age of fifteen because of the short freedom of Altrovos. I was attacked crucially when I was training around the Voltenka Mist Lands. I was corrupted by the evil for a time length of three years, but I was healed. If you must know, I was strangely cured by the Yenshiko prince and the Voltenka princess of that time. The princess, Elinor, was to be my bride according to an arranged marriage we both feared. However, I expected her to try to help me since we were very close. On the other hand, the prince, Takenshin, hated me for what I was, who I was, and the things I did. He was my rival. I did not expect him to help me at all. In fact, I had thought of him as one to vow to kill me if I were to become so evil. I misjudged him. This was over thousands of years ago. That regal Yenshiko Vampire Hunter is still alive as I am, but we are allies more than rivals these days…or so I think.”
Finally, Keshi seemed to show that he chose to finish his summarized narrative and held his chained emerald in one hand.
Now then…If he wishes to know, I will tell him of my Transformation Sage status. Only if he wants to know, though…
“Haha…Are you still awake there, boy?” he asked, deciding to
give him a choice. “I will stop now and let you ask me questions. You may ask
about the Harudaki family jewels of magic. Or
possibly of the people of Yenshiko and their wings
which are similar to your own. If you want, I can tell you secrets of my own
abilities that I use to hide from others. Choose, young one, or I might happen
to speak of all three questions if that is what you desire.”
