CCCLXXII: Usher in New Eras ~Multehx
Omega lay, offline, in the crater upon the dazed Ratch and Kenzo. The professor had landed in a heap upon the grass nearby. He groaned as he got to his knees. As the gent was straightening himself up, a pair of metal legs came into his vision as their owner moved to stand overtop him. Slowly, cautiously, he rose to his feet and looked the newcomer in the eyes. Or cloth as it were.
The fellow that stood before him wore a blue bandana over his eyes. It appeared to be the same shade as the robe he donned. He had a strange metal "guard" atop his head, which looked to be an ornate blue metal plate that guarded his forehead. Intricate symbols were painted upon it. He carried a staff in his gloved hand, and, though his vision was obstructed, the professor felt as if this person was staring deep into his very soul. The wind whistled gently through the area around the two.
There was an
exchange of words, various gestures, some pointing, more words, and the two set
off, heading back the way of the village. The bushes briefly rustled as their
eavesdropper stepped from them and mused on what was going on.
------
Rainstorm politely smiled. They had been standing there about a half hour or so already and the two he was with had not stopped arguing for a moment yet. They were on the subject of who purchased their personality at a warehouse club when Rainy began to notice the slight change.
He frowned slightly, looking up. It wasn't his eyes. The sky had darkened a bit from the previous minute and it seemed to be growing steadily blacker. Even the bickering pair called it an abrupt stop as they finally took notice of the changes as well.
D'Nel turned, looking to Rainstorm. "Hey, you do that?"
The precipiwizard shook his head. "No, no, not me. It just...happened."
Ray adjusted his glasses, frowning as well as the full moon shone in a reflection off both of the lenses. "Freaky...my clock says it's three before one, ECS* And, even here, I've got the general afternoon feeling, not night."
The three were
perplexed, even more so as the clouds over one spot seemed to be slowly
churning, swirling around one another.

Jaded glared, folding his arms. His companion tilted his head. "What do you think that means?" The mercenary groaned. "I have a hunch. I'd keep your sword ready. This could get ugly soon."
Placing his hand on his katana's hilt, Scilas glanced out of the square. "Think those other two lizards, wherever they got to, saw this?"
"No way anyone could miss it. Take a wiff."
Curiously, Scilas did so, grabbing his sides as he shivered violently. "S-s-so c-cold!!" he gasped, teeth chattering.
Jaded nodded. "Yet, the weather hasn't gone beyond a chilly breeze. I think anyone who inhales will know something's wrong right away."
Scilas nodded, still shivering. "Y-yeah. So why a-aren't you so cold??"
The mercenary smirked. "I felt it coming, so I moved my scarf up a bit. Blocks my nostrils." He shrugged. "Sides, it's not so bad for others than us."
Scilas tilted his head, readjusting his own face mask to try and prevent his inhaling through the nose. "What's at mean??"
"We're sitting right down wind of it all, so we're getting the full brunt." He shifted boots, keeping his sword hidden under his cloak. "Just be on your guard; things are not gonna be quite peaceful soon enough. Just pray for the safety of those here...and us. We're gonna need a miracle really."
