Chapter CCCLXXX: Accumulation
~Multehx
Static, all static. Then, with a blip, as if turning off a television, everything went black. Slowly, groggily, the robot opened his eyes. The wind was slowly beginning to pick up with the passing moments, and the sky was steadily darkening. The clouds seemed to be moving rather oddly as well, all rushing in the same direction and covering the sky above totally and absolutely. He slowly sat up, and movement from below rolled him over into the dirt. Kenzo rubbed his helmet and Ratch groaned, muttering some profanities as he winced and gradually got to a kneel.
Looking over to the one beside him, Havoc reached out with a pronged "claw" and picked Omega up by the shoulder, sitting him down on his feet as he rose himself, and Kenzo did as well. Ratch glanced down at the sphere droid to his right. "Well, welcome to the party."
Omega glanced about, after briefly stopping to help Kenzo pick up his axe. "Thanks. So, where are we?"
The taller robot smirked. "Planet X?" He shook his head. "Haven't a clue really. Just looks like the knight's kinda place."
Kenzo turned, hearing his name mentioned. "Hmm? Oh, my kind of place." He shrugged. "Well, I guess it could be; from the right time period I mean." He too looked about. "But I haven't a clue where we are though, either."
Omega frowned, folding his arms. "Well, that puts us at a disadvantage." As a leaf hit one of his eyes he batted it away. "Is it always this windy here??"
"Nope." Kenzo stepped to the edge of the hole. "Just started I estimate. Wasn't this way before you came down and we went out."
The robot nodded in understanding, then smacked his "face". "CRAP! Came down, I almost forgot!" He hurried over and leapt up to the edge as well, looking about. "When I came down, I was with a man; rather scholarly, wild blond hair, seen him?"
With a mutter and a growl, Ratch leapt up as well. "I figured that scuzz would show up. Haven't seen hide nor hair of him yet."
Omega nodded. "Yeah, well, he's playing 'dress-up' it seems, and he's got a hold of something we all know and loathe. Probably the cause of this storm brewing I figure."
Kenzo looked over, startled and Ratch growled again. "Great," Ratch muttered, "Is this an old one or a new one to us?"
"Old – very very old."
"...Damn...I was praying you wouldn't say that..."
Shrugging, the robot in green glanced in the direction the clouds were moving. "Hmm...that's not like anything I've ever seen..."
They all turned to stare at the funnel of cumulonimbus clouds forming over the fairly large town.
"I take it you two have had some time in the place already?" Omega glanced to the other two who nodded in unison.
"Yeah, not a bad little shindig," the largest replied.
"Quite pleasant, though, some odd things have been occuring recently," their knightly partner replied.
"Strange occurances?" Omega asked, turning.
"Very. I've felt some very bad vibes in town lately."
Ratch agreed, "I've felt em too. Like a tingling in the base of my metal spine."
Kenzo frowned. "Someone has been using some heavy duty evil magik lately. And I practically smell it on the breeze now." He raised his weapon, tapping the handle near the hilt in his free palm. "I don't know what's happening, but I say it's time for us to get within the confines of the city walls; darkness doth stir, and this time within the protective barrier erected against it."
Ratch frowned.
"He's going olden-speak on us again; he's serious. We better start back.
The Me-whatever guy and the mage are probably already
there anyway."

D'Nel shielded his face as a strong gust blew the remains of a gravel path his way. Several of the small rocks clinked as they bounced off Ray Noh’s surface, and Rainy stood close behind him, shielded from the wind that way. As the gust died down to only the chilly breeze again, the blond young man turned about. "I don't like this; the wind's getting more frequent."
Ray frowned. "Then what should we do?"
"Simple;
look for the others, and make sure we've got the spare clips."
