Chapter CDIII: Slice of Globstinicana ~Multehx
Several hundred feet upon the busy streets, the air was rendered by several swirling vortexes of oranges, reds, and yellows. From them fell several unique figures of varying species. They would have become an unceremonious series of splatters upon the pavement so far below if there hadn't been a skyscraper in the way. Instead, they landed safely upon the roof, at worse a bit sore from the impact.
D'Nel rubbed his head, muttering as he sat up. "Where in the bloody blue blazes are we?"
Scilas, already on his feet, was standing upon the edge of the roof. A huge grin framed his face. "Blue skies," he grinned, looking at the streets below, "slight afternoon traffic congestion," over to a rather massive but nondescript building on the horizon, to which he pointed and yelled, "THE AGENCY!" He threw his arms out, laughing loud. "Hot DAMN, it IS!"
Jaded smirked, rising to his feet as well, helping Rainstorm to stand. "Home, sweet home."
Ratch pounded a claw into his other, grinning. "Oh yeah, now ‘DIS is da place! None a those freaky other places; a place we truly know."
Straightening his shades, Ray Noh was assisted to stand by the Yoshi next to him. "Could this really be?"
Ratch grinned, throwing out a hand to point and accidentally toppling Redaz. "Yup, it's Kazi, Globeston!"
The locals all let out a fond sigh. Kenzo stepped to the edge, looking over the skyline. "Well, it certainly is quite the well-developed place, isn't it?"
"You have no idea!" the assassin grinned. "Good food, great fun."
Ratch rubbed his arm, flexing the mechanical bits in it. "Best fights."
D'Nel laughed sinisterly, folding his arms, Ray Noh falling into a similar pose at his back. "Some of the greatest foes to grace the galaxy with their presence!"
"Yeah, it's one helluva town," the orange-skinned being nodded, smiling.
The others looked surprisedly over to this fellow. Jaded smirked. "Well...about time. I know you do close, but that was too close."
The man in blue turned, smiling. "Well, I know how you thrive off of it, so, I try to please."
Jaded snickered.
Continuing, the gent tapped his cane on the ground. "But seriously, welcome to the place where things got freaky with this all." He nodded, brushing aside a stray lock of his hair. "This is Kazi, largest city, capitol of Globeston, continent on the planet Parallel Earth. Several of you already know this city well."
There were nods, grins, and hell-yeahs from a few of the Wanderers present. CR smirked.
"So, for those who don't, Kazi is your average city. Do not worry about disguising yourself here, there's a policy of universal species tolerance in effect here." Pacing, he continued, "I've taken the liberty to convert your currency to the local coin, as accurately rounding as I could. So, for now, feel free to explore, enjoy the place, and please…don't be too conspicuous…I really don't want to do any more work than I have to." He shot a glare to D'Nel and shook his head. "None of that. I want none."
The young man stamped his boot and snorted. "Oh come on!"
"NONE," CR repeated.
D'Nel growled and cursed quietly, walking towards the fire escape.
"I'll meet you all back here in..." he thought on this, and then shrugged. "You'll all find your way back then, so, yeah." Casually he waved a hand in the usual "that is all" format, and proceeded to walk through a piece of drywall leaning against an AC unit on the rooftop.
The gang looked
at each other and shrugged in unison, heading off in their own ways, some with
others, some alone.
