Hl’garng

Name: Hl’garng, hatched Arg’lehg

Birthplace: Grng’alapata Valley, The A’gul Lands, G’lirer.

Age: 22 cycles of seasons (years).

History: Called Arg’lehg (Speed) for his eagerness to leave the shell, he was given his adult name of Hl’garng (Arrow) when he came of age because he is “as quick and deadly as the arrow in the hunt”. Ever since his childhood, he has had premonitions and visions of the future – to this end, he is as quick and deadly as the arrow because of limited precognition skills. These visions can be sparked by anything he sees; however, he knows that they may occur or not, depending on what channel the
River of Time takes. He is rather disturbed by the fact that he can see these visions, and only confides this in a few people, notably the former A’gul leader, Ung’grl, and Lich. He does not want to be seen as a prophet by the particularly religious A’gul society. Due to his hunting and warrior skills, he was quick to rise to the position of Head Warrior in the A’gul, a task he enjoys. Fierce and incredibly loyal, he will defend the honour of the A’gul to the end (unless Lich stops him, first). He carries about a machete (of a weak metal), but is also well trained in the use of a spear.

Physical Description: 5'8" (erect), well-built. Like the average Yoshi he has white underskin, but like the Banished, his green, almost khaki top-skin appears faded and washed-out. He has a sprig of black hair on his head, rising up like a feather. He wears his warrior paint – predominantly red and green. Lich aims to introduce him to the “new” concept of clothes when he’s off G’lirer.

Anything Else: As an A’gul, he speaks Old Yoshian (written here as archaic English). Coming from an incredibly primitive society, technology will awe him, and more often than not, he will put himself into an embarrassing situation of sorts by his lack of understanding of it when he comes to use it (including some very simple things someone in a modern society takes for granted, like doors, taps, glass etc.). Although he is quite agile in battle, thanks to his precognition, he does not have any known magical skills. In the theatre of TCIS, he is more of a liability than an asset.
