Naaro
Name: Naaro Garsh Karukylis
Age: 19
Race: Karmali
Home: Karmalia, Yoshin
History: Naaro's long story as a true warrior of the Karmali race began with his birth. When he was born, his race, the Karmali, were a persecuted tribe cast to the Forsaken Lands for atrocities committed during the Sorceress War 100 years before Naaro's birth. He was born to Alexander and Ella Karukylis, a traveling couple of Karmali who had used magic to color their skin white and hide from the rest of Yoshin's population as normal Yoshies. Upon his birth, his nemesis Diablos Obsidian, or Ob (who was about 8 at the time), sent a few of his soldiers to kill Naaro after forseeing his own death at the youth's hands. Though Alexander and Ella died, Naaro was saved from the soldiers and sent to a faraway planet called Nabur.
(Demon-Mage Saga) There he was raised by a Demon-Mage named Uzelon and became a Demon-Mage himself. At the age of 10, Naaro left his master to travel the world with a legion of dark minions. He stumbled upon the community known as Nsider, where he terrorized until he was stopped and shown that his ways were wrong. After intense training and conditioning, Naaro cast away his Demon-Mage abilities at the age of 12. Uzelon then came, and tried to kill his former student. Naaro was forced to kill his old master in mortal combat. After a month, another being known as Deth attacked him, Deth being the source of both Naaro's power as a Demon-Mage and Uzelon's. Naaro defeated Deth in a fierce battle.
(Ob Saga) After 2 years, he learned of his homeland Yoshin, and returned. Ob was now an adult, and controlled the entire continent of South Yoshin. When Naaro returned to the lands of the Karmali in the Forsaken Lands to study the ways of his people, Ob sent one of his minions, Rexxor, to attack. While the reptilian summoner was strong, he fell, and returned to his master. Ob reached into the alternate dimensions, and pulled the spirits of two long-dead warriors from the Void, the prison of evil souls: Kefka and Azala. While much weaker, both were still decent fighters, and Ob placed them into zombified bodies which he had created based on the basic former physical structures of the two. The two also fell to Naaro, both permanently cast into the Void. Rexxor attacked again, but was defeated, and sealed away in an ancient prison. Ob was the only one left now. After a battle against Naaro he lost, and did the only thing he could: he reached into the Void and pulled out the most powerful minion he could find. That minion was Lavos. Ob, with Lavos at his side, fought a titanic battle with Naaro, but in the end, both were defeated. Both were sent into the Void to suffer for an eternity.
(Czar Demons Saga) Right after the battle with Ob and Lavos, a disturbance was detected in the fabric of space and time. Kolos, the Czar Demon of the Demon Realm (the realm of the Unsouls), opened the gates of the realm to Yoshin. He and his demonic armies poured out of the gate, laying siege to much of Yoshin. With help from a few friends from Nsider, Naaro took Kolos and his armies on, eventually defeating the Czar Demon and casting him into the Void. A year later, D'chon, the son of Kolos who had risen to the level of Czar Demon after his father's death, re-opened the gate of the Demon Realm, only this time he opened them all over the world, quickly bringing the planet itself within an inch of its life. Naaro and the Nsiders challenged the Unsouls again, and though D'chon's armies were defeated, he escaped back into the Demon Realm, the portals quickly closing behind him. Naaro followed D'chon, getting through before the portals closed, and the two battled alone in the Demon Realm, which was now deserted since all the Unsouls within had been killed by Naaro and the other Nsiders. D'chon was eventually cast into the Void. Yoshin had been saved, but unfortunately Naaro died in the battle against D'chon. 2 years passed as the people of Yoshin rebuilt their fallen cities, unaware of those who had saved them.
(Zeta Weapon Saga) Though Yoshin had enjoyed a long peace, it was now over. The beast sleeping at the core of Yoshin awakened. Zeta Weapon was its name, and it was poised to destroy Yoshin. Using the mythical Crystal Tear, Naaro was brought back from the dead just in time to fight the powerful beast. In a battle within the deepest recesses of planet Yoshin, Zeta Weapon was brought to its knees. The evil beast was not done, however. In its last hurrah, it launched a suicide attack that destroyed the whole of Yoshin. Fortunately for Naaro and the rest of Yoshin's population, the Nsiders were able to return the planet to its former state, sans Zeta Weapon. Naaro's first meeting with Rynn also happened during this Saga.
(Ultimate Czar Saga) In the Demon Realm, an Unsoul known as Izra had risen to power and was trying to open the gates of the Demon Realm to Yoshin, as D'chon and Kolos had done. He failed, however, and eventually gave up. A year later, D'chon and Kolos escaped the Void and joined Izra in the Demon Realm. The three merged into a being of ultimate darkness and power, the Ultimate Czar known only as P'kol. Naaro and the Nsiders faced their toughest battle yet as they fought desperately against P'kol. Eventually they defeated the Ultimate Czar, but that only led to more problems as the demon split back into its three halves, making for an even tougher battle. Through perseverance and determination, the group defeated the 3 Czar Demons and cast them into the Demon Realm, which was crumbling due to the destruction of its power (the Demon Realm is linked in 'life' to P'kol: when he dies, it begins to break down). With the destruction of the Demon Realm, it seemed that all Yoshin's problems were out of the way, but they were not.
(Zeta Weapon's Return Saga) 4 months after the battle with the Ultimate Czar, Naaro was studying with his Karmali master, Shinto, to complete his training in the arts of Kamar energy. Just as he completed his training, Zeta Weapon returned and killed Shinto. In his dying breath, Shinto revealed to Naaro that he was his father. Angered by the loss of his master/father, he attacked Zeta Weapon ferociously with his natural-born Kamar abilities, destroying the beast's very soul and permanently erasing it from the coil of existence.
After all this, Naaro has reached his current age of 19, and has settled down with Rynn. They have had a child, named Kai, and defend him from the occasional attack by Ob, who has returned from the Void as an immortal using his mysterious Liquid Mirror. At the outset of the story, Naaro is about to undergo the ceremony of the Karmali that crowns him as their leader.

His weapon, the crystalline stave known as Ocelot, is a tool for amplifying his Kamar-powered physical attacks in battle, as well as a few energy-based ones. He has a unique ability to revert into the primitive, feral form of his people, known as a Beast form. This is quite useful in battles where physical strength is a must.
Other Things: Naaro's nemesis, Ob, is keeping a close eye on him as he goes about with the crew of the Spectrum. Occasionally, Ob will send his minions to try and hamper Naaro's progress as he helps out the others. Rexxor, who has long been sealed in a mystical prison, has escaped, and has his own plans for vengeance against Naaro...
