Age: Unknown. He appears as a 33-year old Negro Terran.

Home Planet: At first, one thought he was born on the iceplanet Braxis, but now that it's clear he was never terran in the first place, no-one is sure.

History: Little was known about the enigmatic man who called himself Samir Duran. By his own account, Duran served as part of the Confederate Alpha Squadron before the terrorist Arcturus Mengsk brought down the Confederate establishment. Duran once lead a small commando squad that was dedicated to striking at "Emperor" Mengsk and his new Terran Dominion. Once he had betrayed the Terrans, he appeared as an Infested Terran ghost, seemingly under Kerrigan's control. Before Kerrigan was attacked by the joint forces of the Protoss, the Terran Dominion and the UED, Duran had mysteriously disappeared.
Later on, it became clear Duran was a creature neither Zerg or Terran. Zeratul discovered his true identity and his scheme. He was planning on creating hybrids of Protoss and Zerg... combining the purity of form with the purity of essence...

Phys Description: Normal Terran ghost-unit attire merged with Zerg carapace. Negro skin, half of face merged with extra veins and carapace, one fang. He carries a rifle with him. One of his hands looks more like a claw then a hand.

Abilities: Very high agility. Can burrow underground, can shoot plain hard metal bullets. No fancy lasers or anything. His rifle can, however, be loaded with canisters of Zerg essences like Plague, Ensnare, or Parasites. He can spit poisonous needles from his throat. He might have a much more powerful shape hidden under that skin…

Anything else: He takes orders from an unseen 'mentor' of his own kind.
