Chapter XI One way trip-Vector Sprint
It was a typical Saturday morning. Vector could smell his mother making breakfast, and his father watching the morning news. He tried to get up, but couldn’t, and after 10 minutes of rolling, he turned off his anti-gravity bed.
"Vector! Time for breakfast!" His mother called in the native yoshi language. Vector raced down the stairs, and ate his breakfast of 4 waffles in one gulp, as he always did. He put his shoes on, and rushed out the door.
I’m going out, mom!" he yelled in English. After 16 years of living among humans, vector had learned how to speak American Slang quite fluently. His father sighed.
"Vector’s becoming more human every day." His father said. He turned the Vid-Screen off. "He wears their clothes, talks like them, and runs with them."
"Well, What do you expect? He’s lived with humans for 16 years. He didn’t grow up like we did." His mother said. Little did they know what kind of mess vector was about to get into.
Vector ran down the street, leaving his friend, Andrew behind.
"Wait, Vec!" Andrew yelled. "I’m not as fast as you!"
"Well, climb on my back! I’m in a hurry!" Vector said. "I can’t help it if you humans are slower than I am." Andrew looked at Vector for a moment, and climbed onto his back. Vector ran down the street, and turned into the woods. They came upon a cave, and Andrew hopped off of Vector.
"You’re not going in there, are you?" Andrew asked.
"Yeah. I heard that there was a crystal or something like that in there. I’m going to get it, and become rich!" Vector said triumphantly.
"News flash." Andrew said. "I’m not going in there. You’re crazy!"
You’re just chicken." Vector said. He took out a flashlight, and walked into the cave. Andrew sat down, and waited for him.
As Vector wandered farther into the cave, he realized he was lost. Something on the wall caught his eye. It was in a language he couldn’t understand, but there was an arrow.
"I bet that’s the way out!" Vector said hopefully. He followed a series of arrows, and found a black portal. He pulled his blaster out of his belt, and fired the bright beam into the portal. The beam just winked out. "Crap…it might be a tunnel… He stupidly walked into it, and landed on his butt in a forest. "Where is this?" Vector asked out loud. As he looked around, he fell down a hill. He looked around, and saw a purple female yoshi with ice blue hair. She had a sword, and vector didn’t want to meet her, so he crept through the woods. He walked over a ridge, and what he saw astonished him….
