Chapter XV: "Who are you?" -Vector
As Vector crested the hill, he saw a sight that horrified him. As he looked down the hill, he gazed on the blasted remnants of his home city. All that was left, after whatever had happened were the skeletons of buildings, and a crater.
"Don’t like that scene, do you?" said a voice coming from behind Vector. He turned around, and was now face to face with Sir Pseudo Havering.
"Who are you?" Vector inquired. Havering just chuckled to himself.
"I am Sir Pseudo Havering." Havering replied. "I know who destroyed your city."
"You do?" Vector said abruptly. "Who?"
"Someone named Aurora Yoshiva." Havering said. He mused at the fact that he was convincing this boy, who would later pose great threat to him, into doing his work for him.
"I’ll do anything if you tell me where she is!" Vector said. He looked at Havering with obvious rage in his eyes. He liked that. Turning this boy from enemy to a pawn was going to be easier than he anticipated.
"You will find her." Havering said. "I must depart, as I have pressing business to attend to. Farewell, young Vector." As Havering said this, the air fluxed a bit, and he just disappeared. Vector stood on the hill, and thought. He then turned around, and ran into the forest.
Vector kept walking. He was hungry, thirsty, his feet hurt, and he was hopelessly lost. He sat down on a log. He heard something. Someone with a rather pleasant voice was yelling for someone names "Markior". It was a strange name, he thought, but then, so was Vector. He walks up a hill, and emerges from the forest. Outside of a village, is the purple yoshi he had seen. From this close, she seemed rather beautiful. Vector tried to stay out of sight, but the purple one sensed him somehow.
"Come out here." She said. "Show yourself." Vector cautiously walked out from behind a tree, and into a clearing. When he felt that she wasn’t going to hurt him, he walked at a more normal pace.
"Hello." He said. "Who are you?"
"I was asking myself the same question about you." The female said.
"I’m Vector. Vector Sprint." Vector said.
"Vector? You can’t be. You’re just a child." She said.
"Well, duh." Vector said. "Who are you?"
"Very well." She said. "I’ll play your game. My name is Aurora Yoshiva." Vector stepped back. This couldn’t be the one who destroyed his city. He decided for the moment that maybe Havering was mistaken. He looked at Aurora’s sword. She noticed how he was looking at it. She decided that he wasn’t going to try to steal it, and put the entire idea out of her head.
"You’re not going to stab me, are you?" Vector said, a hint of fear in his voice.
"Don’t be absurd." Aurora said. "You know I wouldn’t try to kill you."
"But I’ve never even seen you before now." Vector said. Aurora recalled how vector said he was a clone, and decided that this must be Vector as a child. She searched his mind, and found that he was both frightened and confused.
"Vector, I think we would fare better if we stayed together." Aurora said. "Besides, you’re only a child."
"Okay." Vector said. He looked up, and noticed that the sun was setting. "Can we find something to eat? I’m starving." Vector said as he held his stomach.
"I’ll think of something." Aurora said. "I’m also hungry."
After Aurora had found something to eat in the forest, vector laid down, and fell asleep. Aurora stayed up, and thought…
