Chapter XVII: Mirage or Reality? -Meoshira

"Well, so that's the story about myself," Meo told his newfound friend, Jade. "Your story's pretty interesting, too..."

Jade sighed as she looked upward at the twilight. "I miss my sister..."

Meo looked at Jade in a gentle way. He knew the pain she was suffering from, since he always had his family to miss.

"It's OK Jade," Meo consoled as he put a paw to her shoulder. "I miss my family, too..."

They continued walking along the white colored sands of the Emora Islands, but soon stopped to notice something very strange...

Meo was the first to notice. The colors in the sky filled up to become some black, metallic ranbow in the middle of the heavens.

"It can't be Aurora Borealis," Meo said, confusedly. "There's no such thing as that here on Emora..."

Jade, too, noticed the portal-like thing in the sky. "It's probably only a mirage, don't bother with it too much."

Just then, they both started to levitate, and spinning around.

Meo gasped "Oh dear God...what's happening?!"

Jade shook her head. "I have no idea, but it doesn't look good...."
