Chapter XXVI: Let the Forces Amass -Havering

Ratch impatiently tapped a boot and surveyed the area. Finally, his patience could hold no more. "Hey, boss, what exactly do you plan to do here? We've been standing on the dam wasteland for over three hours and all you've been doing is looking at the sky." Sir Pseudo Havering drew a breath of the chilled, eternal night air above them and turned to face his robotic masterpiece.
"Havoc...some day you'll learn I have my reasons for everything, even down to my choice of wines. Now listen closely, because I am saying this only once. We are here, on this immense plateau because it is the appropriate reigion for what i have in plan." Pseudo, after having said that, gestured with a hand to the stars above. "Now, as for my star gazing, I've not been meerely wasting my time watching burning balls of gas like the average dolt. I've been waiting for a specific moment...and it has yet to occur. But when it does, my mechanical follower, you shall see exactly why we have kept this vigil." With that, the two turned their gazes back to the heavens and waited. More time passed, with only the howling wind in the ravine to give any real indication time *was* still moving. Suddenly, havering's eyes widdened and his gloved hand shot up, fingers extended. With a massive bellow, a pulse of black light rocketed from his hand upwards at the stars above. With an immense explosion of wind, a specific cluster of stars the Time Bender had been focused on seemed to illuminate with an unholy light, forming an odd constelation that...resembled a small object Havering wore around his neck on a blackened chain. "There! Do you see it! The Whyrock of the sky is envoked!!" Ratch only nodded, now intrigued as by what was going to occur next that had his creator and revivor so...excited...apprehensive even. A smile that could only belong to a true, evil hearted, black creature such as a demon long gone evil brightened Havering's expression. With a sudden surge of energy release, The Demon shot from his stance on the rocky terrain up into the night sky until he was at the height he desired, then slowly came to a halt. "Havoc! Do stand back, this will be a bit large!" Sir Pseudo ordered, waiting until the massive robot had gained a safe distance before drawing his long, twisted grave yard hued scythe and extending it above him to full length. What followed could only be described as a full blown kick to the laws of physics that would send them spiraling out the window. From the stars above, a tremendous Light gathered, forming an illuminated orb directly in line with havering, wich, as it reached a certain mass, exploded into an air rending blast headed straight for him. But, instead of taking to his heels and fleeing, Havering seemed to welcome the energies burning across him, sending his cape billowing. What would astound anyone, Including even Ratch, who had thought he'd seen it all, was the fact that this being, in the center of this inferno pillar rushing from the heavens above and bunring into the rocky soil below, was laughing! He was right out laughing through it all! Then, raising his scythe higher, shouting demonic chant, Sir Pseudo Havering swung his weapon at the ground below, where the massive energies were ripping into the ground. With a sound if inrushing air that could be hear throughout the black island, the light pillar seemed to shift shades to a midnight purple hue, and began seep light across the circle within the pillar, forming what looked like the very image of space within the confined circle of the pillar. And then, as suddenly as it had happened, the pillar simply faded into the night sky, leaving the odd circle present on the ground below. Ratch re-approached as Havering's boots set down upon the ground once again, at the edge of the odd void. "What...the hell...IS that?" Ratch murmured, staring into the black depths. Sir Pseudo havering smiled slyly, tapping the end of his scythe on the void, as if it were still solid ground. With the tap, a ripple of light spread across like ripples in a pond, then settled. "Quite simple, Havoc. An old demon ritual, and the best way to find what you're after. Now...down to the matter at hand." Havering cut off, turning and looking to the void. "Levcth Frendurzll, Venzincine Revalli. He stated in the odd demonic tongue. With that, images formed until they became people. "Now, these would be the obvious focuses, the ones i directly brought here." Havering pointed out with his scythe, in an explanative manner. "Alone, they're easily crushed. With some alliance, they pose a minor hinderance, but that is quickly eliminated if we obtain certain "relics" shall we say, from them." With another tap, the images divided, making two disctinc groups. "The lizards I shall mention first. Now, this", havering said as he pointed to one of the images, "Would be our primary concern of them all at the moment. He's not fully lizard, and somehow...he's managed to revive himself to an even higher level than he was at death. He links us to four objects we need." With a wave of the scythe blade, the Image of The Markior faded to that of two crystals, a cape and ashoulder shield. "Albiet the shield and cape trivial, they still would be a bit of aid. The crystals would be our main concern with this one. They hold a substantial amount of power, which would be a nice portion towards the master plan. We shall talk about those later." Havering directed, making sure havoc was watching very carefully, which indeed he was. Reassured, Pseudo erased the image and brought up one of an orange lizard being. "This one, as you realize, poses a bit more of a threat than the last. Etherial beings tend to not think of their limits, while mortals do. And this one is certainly mortal. What intrigues me about this one would be...this." With a tap, havering brought up an image of a large boomerang with a central jewel embedded into it. "Seems like a relic of suitable power, so, do remember this one." Moving to the next image, Pseudo brought up a purple lizard with long flowing hair, and wearing elegant clothing, a sword in tow. "This one is a sorceress. We shall bring her in alive, as you realize, i can utilize the power within those who have such and those of the "godly" status. On her...I'd say her abilities within are the main focus...but that blade would make a suitable addition as well I would believe." Havoc nodded. It was a fine looking sword, and if it belonged to a sorceress, no doubt it had some power to it. Turning his thoughts back to the images, Havoc looked upon the image of an irradescent skinned lizard. "This one...is not yet here, but will be soon. He may be mortal, but he posesses a great power to himself; a worthy addition to our hand." "The next", began havering, pacing around the egde of the void, "is one of those dashing adventurer types. You know, the "knight in shining armor" types." Havoc snickered along with his boss at that one. "I'm not fully assured of his skills...but he is one of them my senses tell me, so do keep on watch for him anyway." The next image was of a blue skinned lizard with yellow hair, but was quickly waved away by Havering. Havoc glanced up, puzzled and the Time Bender raised a quieting hand. "That one is taken care of, for the time." The next image was of a blond haired lizard with grey skin. "This would be one of the other "goddesses". I've yet to bring her here...but it's only a matter of time. Noone can avoid my offers, of course." Havering sneered. "As with the other etherial ones, bringing her in alive would provide me with a nice share of energies, and....that medal she bears might posess a bit in residual as well."
The next image was a live picture, showing a green skinned lizard with magnificent wings, and one that resembled a cat of some sort. "A god of luck and an a mortal. These two I'm least sure of, so I shall need to do a bit more watching before i can give you directives on them." Havoc nodded and watched as the lizards all faded, leaving a second group. "This would be our lesser known crew. These two...", Havering said, pointing to a young man and woman, "Posess magikal energies to them. Always a welcome addition to my power. They have yet to arrive, but, the will." The image next shifted to that of a young woman, near the teen years it seemed. Havoc glanced up at the pause and saw Havering looking a bit..confused. "I'm....honestly puzzled as to who this one is...but..i shall look into this most definately..." He nodded, progressing to the image of a metallic clad bounty hunter. "This one..is not one of my intended few, but he has already assured me he will be a problem. If you see him, feel free to..."incapacitate" him in any way you please." Havoc sneered at this. He knew his boss wouldn't ask any further, because no doubt, he knew his methods of "dealing" with people very well indeed. The next image was of yet another human girl, about around the age of the other. "This one seems to be..protected..by some other force. She has a tremendous forest like aura to her...I shall need to study her as well."
The Image finally ended with a projection of a spherical bodied, coat wearing, odd looking being, bearing a gold M on his head. Pseudo glanced up to the robot across from him, a slight grin on his face. "I'd be a bloody fool if i had to explain this one." "Yeah, that's obvious. So...you want me to rip it off his face and leave the remains for ya?" Ratch questioned. Pseudo seemed to pause for a moment, then glancing back to the image he spoke up. "..No-o....not exactly. I want him alive. Just...rough him up if you have to; keep him away from anyone else." Havoc seemed to frown and Havering raised a stern gloved hand. "By rough up i don't mean ripping his limbs off and leaving him in the wilderness, Havoc! THIS is an order, got it?" Pseudo demanded with a very icy tone. Ratch paused, then nodded. "Yeah...got it."
With that, Ratch turned and proceeded back towards the massive under ground tower, while Havering tuend back to the void. All the images were vanished from it, but in dim shadow, there appeared to be something else depicted. something that shined on a portion of it...and appeared long and thin. It's outline gave the impression of a long pole, and a curved blade on the end, with something set into the handle end. "Soon...", havering murmured, "Soon i will come for you."
