Chapter XXXIX: A Rose in the Forest -Multex707

Multex loosened his grip on the quick silver, exhaling between his teeth as habit when coming out of his fighting readiness on a false alarm. "Tex...it's a human...what do we do?" NM questioned in his unique language, which to the girl must have sounded like "Nehvjhey Kvvlt Brrooo Venagun?" "..I suggest we give some room..she looks pretty tense..no doubt wonderin what the hell we are.." Multex responded in the same language, turning his glance back to the girl who by this time had gotten to her feet fully and looked ready to fight back. "O-k...try to communicate..." the agent thought as he prepared to speak. "Salutations. Uh.. Bonjour...Aloha..Revnihj.." He rattled on, each getting a bit of a confused response. He almost smacked his head as he suddenly recalled his mistake. "Why the bloody blazes AREN'T I speaking in Rhenzin!" He swore at himself for the mistake and couldn't help but watch the girl's shock. "Oh joy, one of the "It Talks!!" responses...gyah....Don't i Looove being refered to as the neutral gender by every dang un- Paralleler out there.." Multex groaned and complained to himself, shaking his head as he said it. The girl seemed to react oddly to his rants at somewhere near the word "paralleler". As Multex gave this human a second study, he couldn't help but note, as far as humans went, she wasn't that bad really. Looked like she lived in the dang wilderness, but not too bad. He quickly shook the thought though as his buissness like mind he calmly raised his hands and motioned for NM to follow his lead. "Look, miss," he began, clearing his throat, "We aren't big evil monsters out there to kill and eat folks that stray from the path or whatnot, so you can just relax, and we'll be leaving now. Right? Good? See ya!" Multex cheerily exclaimed, grabbing NM by the paw and half dragging him as he suddenly dashed out of the clearing. "Tex..why..did...we..do..this?" NM asked, being jolted as he gained his footing and started running as well. "Because, aleart one of the natives, they'll all be on ya in minutes. Trust me, done this before." Multex grinned slightly. As the agent turned his gaze back to his path of travel, he was able to just spot a very large and very tough looking Wolf bounding out of the bushes. "Shoot! Grab on little buddy cause...Here!...We..GOOO!" As soon as NM felt the two clawed hands gripping his shoulders tightly he immediately sprung into action. Now, for the average gymnast, performing numerous maneuvers takes a vast amount of skill, due to their body's wind resistance and other factors. A round bodied agent with Mechanical muscle enhancements could most likely show up the silver medalist without trying too hard. Leaping forward, Multex threw himself invert almost instantly, landing on his right hand and bending at the elbow fluently. As the wolf was about the come into connection, the Agent shoved off the ground in a massive hand spring, rocketing over the animal with his passanger still in tow, flipped through the air twice with his momentum and landed in a crouch a good five feet away. By the time the wolf had glanced back, the Agent was already plowing through the forest at the speed he was initially going. "Tex...that was INSANE!!" Multex shot a grin to his passanger suggesting he enjoyed *every* second of it. NM shook his head exasperatedly. "You do insane often...I forgot, scratch my question...TEX LOOK OUT FOR THAT STATUE!!" NM shouted, alearting the agent just in time as he plowed into a lifesize statue of a Lizard. In the chaos, numerous vials of antidotes and chemicals the agent kept out of their case in his outside pockets smashed over the stone and drenched it a good bit, causing smoke to whisp from the bubbling liquids. The Agent, on the otherhand, had gone into what looked like a perfect 10.0 mid air forward flip, and completed it with a flawless face slam into the dirt. A few moments later, the dust settled, leaving the picture of one agent, down in the dirt and dazed as anything, one blue, guitar toting monster hung in a tree by his sneaker laces, and one statue, now oddly orange along the upper torso and head and still going where the chemicals had spilled. In all, it was a pretty usual thing to find in the wake of Agent Multex707.
