Chapter XLI: The Gathering of Heroes-Kyle

Kyle stumbled into a clearing where the river eventually emptied out into a large lake. He immediately regretted his loud and obvious entrance, as he saw a trio of creatures only a few yards downstream of him. One was an upright, two-legged, orange lizard-like creature. Next to him was what appeared to be a small, blue, guitar-holding rabbit covered in mud. And the third creature was like none he had seen before, though he had seen many robots terrorizing cities and villages before Gigyas had been vanquished. He was a spherical creature wearing a green jacket and a gold "M" on top of his black, orb-like body/head/whatever. His right eye was a diamond, while the other was covered with a metal plate. As soon as he made his boiserous entrance, the lizard creature swiftly reached into his pouch and withdrew a type of boomerang, which he at once flung towards his direction. As soon as it left his hand, it disappeared, until a split second later, Kyle felt it strike his forehead, sending him back 5 yards into the woods. As soon as he hit the ground he became unconscious.
When he woke, he found himself to be tied up to a tree, the three strangers gathered around him. He looked down to find a pile of twigs and leaves under his feet, and the lizard was carrying a torch. You didn't have to be a genius like he was to figure out what was happening. He looked down beside him and saw his bag, with his hockey stick in it. He narrowed his eyes at the three, as they stared back at him. The circular one began talking in many different tongues, obviously trying to find his language. Kyle didn't wait for him to do so, though, as he kicked out his foot to his bag and flipped his hockey stick into his hand, under the ropes, and severed them in one quick slice. Before the three of them knew it, he was leaping through the air at them, stick ready to strike. The first to feel the pain of Kyle's attack was the little rabbit, who got slap-shot into a nearby tree branch, where he hung on, shocked from the force of the blow. He quickly turned around and came a centimeter away from smashing the hockey stick into the lizard's head when he felt an invisible force restraining him, holding him in place. He yelled out in anger, "Who the hell are you?!" The spherical one got a look of epiphany on his face. "Oh, so you speak English!" Kyle glared at him angrily. "Of course I do! Why wouldn't I? I'm from Winters, where that is the only language spoken!" At this point the black, round creature looked confused. "Winters? Oh, you must be another one of us! You see, you're not on your home planet anymore. You were teleported to this planet along with the rest of us." Now it was Kyle's turn to look confused. "But... that was Mr. Saturn village back there... that's from Earth, where I'm from..." The lizard now spoke up. "This planet is a unique one in that it is made up of pieces of other planets. So that village you spoke of is part of this planet that is copied from the real place on your planet." Kyle looked at the two of them. "Well, since we all know we're not enemies, can you please let me go?" The lizard nodded and suddenly Kyle fell to the ground. He sprung back to his feet. "How'd you do that? I know there's a Paralysis power that some know, but I didn't see any PSI waves coming from you." The lizard shrugged. "I have no idea what you're talking about, but I get my powers from an invisible force that surrounds us all called Mana. It surrounds us, binds us, and creates life. Some, like me, have learned to be able to harness Mana to wield incredible powers." Kyle extened his hand quickly. "I'm sorry, I forgot. My name's Kyle Andonuts, son of the great Dr. Andonuts." The lizard shook his hand in friendship. "I'm Dyluck Thanatos Yoshi von Kippo, but everyone just calls me Lich." The spherical-bodied one next shook Kyle's hand. "The name's Multex, number one agent in the galaxy!" The rabbit-looking character suddenly dropped from his spot on a tree branch and landed flat on the ground. Multex chuckled. "That guy over there's Nehn Ehm, but you can call him NM." Kyle kneeled next to him. "Sorry 'bout that, NM. Here, take this and you'll feel better." Kyle reached into his bag and took out the Hand-Aid his brother had given him as a souvenir from his trip that he and his friends had never used. He placed the Hand-Aid on NM and the small creature suddenly sprung to his feet, full of life. Kyle stood up. "How many more of us are there on this planet, and why were we brought here?" Multex shrugged. "We don't know for sure about the first question, but as for the second, you're gonna want to sit down. It's a long story..."
