Chapter LXII: Silent as Stars ~Prism
The young Hoshian Princess stood at the edge of her balcony, gazing at the stars above her. Her long blue hair was released of its usual ponytail and cascaded like a waterfall about her shoulders. It was a peaceful day in Michi no Hoshi; the kingdom was prospering and the Star Road was glowing brightly as wishes from the planet-dwellers were granted. Yes, everything seemed fine.
But only on the Physical Plane.
The rainbowed yoshi closed her sapphire eyes, concentrating on the feelings she was experiencing. Something's wrong... she thought to herself. As the cool breeze blew through her royal blue hair and her magenta gown, the feeling in her gut grew stronger. The wind grew a little stronger, rustling the feathers of Prismaya's white angelic wings. Opening her eyes once more, she silently retreated to her bedroom. She took her purple hair ribbon from where she had laid it on her dressing table, then proceeded to tie her hair back in her trademark ponytail.
Prismaya Spectra Yoshii then stepped back out onto the balcony, proceeding to leap from it. She spread her wings and slowly fluttered down to the ground.
"Where are you going?" a soft voice asked from behind. Prism turned around to see a beautiful white she-yoshi. The winged yoshi had beautiful shoulder-length purple hair that was in an elegant odango, and wore a crown on her head.
"I don't know, mother." Prism sighed.
"Have you been getting the same impulses I have?" Quartz asked.
"Yes," Her daughter replied.
"There have been disappearances on many different planets..." The queen murmured.
"How do you know that?" Prism asked.
"Geno told me..." Quartz replied sullenly. "The Star Road has received many wishes for these missing people...yet the power of the Star Road has been unable to fulfill any of these wishes." She paused. "I suspect an evil power is at work here."
Prism sighed. "What should we do?"
"Go..." Quartz replied. "We have been given these impulses for a reason. Go... find the evil behind these dissappearances...and help destroy it. I will be with you."
The prism talisman of the princess' necklace began to glow, and the young yoshi turned into a star. "Goodbye mother!" She cried, before flying up into the sky.
I think I'll go to Terra first... she thought as she shot through space. But she didn't fulfill her idea, for a large portal appeared before her. Unable to stop, Prism was sucked into the portal.
She found herself in yoshi form, falling through a pit of some kind in complete darkness. Prism flapped her wings madly, but to no avail. The Hoshian princess hit a hard surface and fell unconcious.
