The music she followed sounded somewhat... familiar, but she couldn’t remember from where. It was a folk song almost, but flat and sad like a funeral march. Yet, she found it rather comforting in a way.
She hadn’t bothered to put her shoes on, and her clawed toes clicked as she walked down the passages.
The music had appeared suspicious right from the start. It had an eerie feel to it, and days after hearing it for the first time; the entire island appeared to dwindle. Everything began to lose its colour, and she felt sick. However, the atmosphere had improved, and she convinced herself this strange music had something to do with it. As she neared it, she felt a cold breeze rip through the tunnel. Hugging her shoulders, she continued, the ghostly wind getting stronger. When she reached a fork in the cave, she knew to turn left to reach the entrance, and right to reach the underground river deep beneath the mountain she was on. But this time, she noticed something moving in between the two paths. Her eyes widened, and adjusted to the darkness to get an unexpected surprise.
Right before her, there was a circling mist of black and dark purple, almost resembling a cyclone, the black and purple melding together in the middle and being sucked in. A small pebble at her feet moved slightly, and then flew rapidly into the swirling storm of energy. The blue creature listened intently. Sure enough, the music was coming from this strange object. Suddenly she felt threatened by this new discovery, and arched her wings high above her head to appear taller. The music grew louder and her feet gathered up dirt as she was slowly pulled forward.
She crouched, legs in front of her arms as she dug into the ground, like a beast attempting to remove a collar around its neck. The wind grew stronger, and became a howling scream. She heard DraStar’s voice echo down the tunnels,
"..Dr...Drahgun...." The expression on her face turned to sheer terror as she toppled forward and zoomed right into the swirling mass, her scream absorbed into the very depths of the vortex, becoming smaller and smaller, then finally vanishing from sight...
