Chapter LXXII: An Ancient World Reborn? -Dragon

The blue creature spiralled down, her scream no match for the howling wind.
She attempted to fly; yet the tunnel she fell down was too narrow to match her wingspan. She twisted and turned as she continued to fall, when a tree from below -- or what she thought was below -- came at her fast, and her cries came to an end as a branch knocked her out, and she dangled by the stomach amid a forest of trees.

Opening her eyes a few good hours later, she felt a sharp pang on her chest, and rubbed her head. Finally remembering what happened, gravity kicked in and she let out a little yelp as she lost her balance and fell, hitting all the branches on the way down, and ending with an exhausted "Oomph..." as she hit the dirt.

She was an odd looking thing. Vaguely resembling a Yoshi, she was dark blue in colour, with pale yellow on her chin, stomach, and the underside of her tail, which ended in a sharp curved bone. She blinked, her black eyes glistening in the sun, and red pupils contracting at the glare through the canopy of trees. She picked up handfuls of dirt in her clawed hands, as she couldn't do much else, while she lay winded on the ground.

While catching her breath, she had time to gather in her surroundings, and came to a surprising, yet scary conclusion, as she managed to murmur,
"Rendrastraschta? It can't be..." She sat up, clutching her middle as it continued to throb.
"This is my forest... my cliff is just a short while to the right... and my village --"
She ignored her pain and jumped up, ready to face her village again. Would they remember her? Or, would they not recognise her? She then came to think of the time; was she even born yet? The thought disappeared from her mind as she began to sprint through the forest.

When clear of the trees, she hopped slightly, spreading her wings out to glide a few metres, then jumped with both legs as she gained momentum and soared into the sky, flapping slightly as the thermals gently pushed her skywards. Almost reaching the clouds, she began to circle the area, when spotting the village, and dove down. Getting closer, she noticed there was no one in sight. This was extremely odd, as there was always someone around to protect the belongings of the tribe. And as she came even closer, she noticed that there was no sign of recreation anywhere. No charred fireplace, no footprints, no noise whatsoever...

She landed, scattering dust into the air, which floated away with the wind. Using her nose, she sniffed, not picking up any scents of animals, just the pine-like smell of the trees. Then she pondered how she was supposed to get home, and thought of DraStar and Trilli. She tried coming up with ideas of how she could do so, and when she couldn't think of any, she cursed out loud and pounded the ground with a fist. She then spotted a small fern-like tree nearby and uprooted it with a screech, ripping the leaves from the spiny trunk. After satisfying her anger to some extent, she decided to search for someone to give her help in getting back. Becoming airborne once again, she flew speedily through the rapidly darkening sky chasing the sun, as she called out in Daraekuren for help. The only sounds in the evening was the wind whistling through the trees, and a voice calling out,
"Rarsch! Rarsch!!"
Little did she know, this ancient word she used had a rather similar sound to the name of another, who went by the codename RATCH...
