Chapter CXVIII: Have a Nice Trip ~Vector

Tripper stood at the edge of the clearing where the village stood. Several tribesmen approached him with spears. He only looked at them and laughed. He drew a small pistol from his belt, and fired into the air. The shot rang out, piercing the peace of the forest, and the tribesmen ran for cover from the sound. He looked towards the middle of the village, and noticed Vector tied to the pole.
"Hmm… Revenge at last…" Tripper thought to himself. He walked down into the area where the fire and Vector were, and laughed slightly.
"Hmm… Now why does this situation remind me of something? Oh yeah. I was in almost the same situation as you are now, when you ditched me, Vec." Tripper said, malice evident in his voice. "But I’m not gonna ditch you. I’m gonna make you pay for ditching me." He drew a crude knife made from a scrap of metal, and walked towards Vector. Vector’s eyes grew with fear, but soon it eased, as Tripper hacked away at the ropes holding him on the pole. Vector stood up, and pulled the rope off of his mouth that was holding his jaw shut, and started speaking.
"Thanks Trip." He said. "I can take…" Tripper punched him in the face before he could finish.
"Can it, pureblood. I still remember what you did to me." Tripper said, hate evident in his voice. "I bet you’ve made enemies on this planet. I’m sure I could sell you to one for a hefty price." Vector looked at him, and started grinning.
"Wanna know something?" Vector said. "I just wanna say, have a nice trip, Trip." He lunged out at Tripper, and knocked him to the ground. Tripper got back up, and charged at Vector, hoping to ram him into a tree. His plan worked, and Vector hit a tree, and there was a sickening crunch. Vector fell down, and lay motionless at the base of the tree. Tripper chuckled slightly.
"Well Vec, I guess it’s time for me to get revenge." He said aloud. "I’m sure I could find someone to give you to that wants to kill you." He picked Vector’s lifeless body up, slung it over his shoulder, and started walking out of the forest.
