Chapter CXXV: Fun With Magic ~Redaz
Redaz woke up, he had been spending the passed few months on a barren plane, practicing his magic, he looked at the cave he had made his home for the time and decided it was time to leave. He picked up the small essence bottle that he had been surviving off of while he was on the plane, it produced a miraculous liquid when it was charged with magic, that could heal and sustain anyone the only problem was after using it for extended periods of time one’s mouth felt like cotton and tasted like they’d been downing shots of mouthwash. Redaz picked up the small vial and tucked it into the pocket inside of his red robe and picked up the sword he used, summoned by a spell he had happened upon, and stuck it into the small metal loop he had made to hold it that was attached to his belt. Redaz held up his hands and closed his eyes as he summoned the power to cross the multiverse that was the emptiness between planes. A fire grew around his feet as the spell took effect, the fire rose around him and engulfed Redaz as he was flung out of planar existence.
Redaz thought it odd that the hurtling through the multiverse felt more like he was being pushed back where he came from, Redaz focused ands pushed back and found himself being thrown out of another fire, onto a small grassy clearing on another plane. He slowly got up, quite confused as to why the spell didn’t leave him standing as usual. After dusting himself off, Redaz decided a test of his magic was in order. Redaz pointed in front of him and focused on a small insect he had once learned to summon. As he gathered the energy Redaz released it to where he was pointing and expected the bug to appear, dragged from the plane it lived on. Redaz was very disappointed; the energy surged back into his arm, and smoke rose from his hand, Redaz yelled as the mana burn flamed up in his arm. "Well, I guess nothing gets in this plane without permission... it must be a created plane," Redaz had never been to a fake plane but he knew that a very powerful being is necessary to make one.
Redaz had one more test to make before he set off to explore the plane. Redaz held one hand forward, palm pointed toward the wall of trees, as he focused energy, he let out a destructive blast, a roar of thunder accompanied it as it struck the trees and the forest fell apart. Some trees toppled before the blast, the rest flew into the air, and the steadfast of them simply exploded in a shower of splinters, all resulting in a huge noise that sent birds flying through out the forest, Redaz dusted off his hands and began strolling through the path he had made, thinking to himself, that outghtta get someone’s attention.
