Chapter 143: Resistance Is Futile-Dragon
"F-fff-faster-rrr-r, Nessieeee!" Lich bent his head down closer to his dragonite's neck, attempting to avoid the almost unbearable force of the wind.
"I'm trying.." The PLT sang out above the sound of the howling air around them. They approached the blue demon, ever so slowly, and in coming closer, Lich realised he had misjudged her size. Raising his head higher as Nessie slowed down, they swooped under the huge winged beast. She was almost 90 feet in length, and her gigantic wings beat at the ground creating large swirls of dust with each flap. The dragonite was still speeding along to keep up with the darikuri's casual, yet fast pace. Making their way forward, the two rose higher in the air and flew just in front of her snout, which they didn't realise was probably a bad idea at first. The darikuri's eyes slowly moved downwards, fixing their gaze on the tiny yoshi and its dragonite.
"SNERCH-TAHRLAK 'TOH SHA-IN RAACH!" She boomed in her native tongue, up righting herself and then landing. Lich and Nessie weren't quite prepared and slammed into her chest.
Letting them fall a few metres, she cuffed them in her claws and peeked in at them with one big, glowing red eye. Lich, who was sprawled out on the palm of one claw, stood up and walked towards the eye.
"Dragon, what are you doing? You're going to hurt yourself!" Her reply was a mere growl.
"Listen, I just stopped Markior from destroying the whole of Zol-"
"I HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THE LIGHT ONE!" She roared, throwing her hands out to her sides. Lich fell once again, his dragonite catching him just inches above the ground. Glancing northward, they noticed she had set off again, and Lich hung his head. Patting his dragonite, he said quietly,
"Take me back to the Protoss City."
When he arrived, Markior was howling and cursing as he circled the Ganthritor II, looking at the damage Dragon had done. In seeing Lich approach, he flailed his arms at him and cried,
"Look what she did! Look! This'll be coming out of your money, Dragon..." Lich tried to halt him, but he continued to rant and rave as he stormed towards them.
"Markior, she isn-"
"Well come now, Dragon, don't hide behind Lich, I know you're there..." He floated around to Nessie's side, and saw that the space behind Lich was vacant.
"Where is she?" He snorted.
Lich dismounted, and mumbled,
"Shz bn brnwshd..."
"Come now, Lich! Don't talk so softly! Speak louder..."
"H hz Drgn-"
"Huh?!"
"I said..." Lich replied in an annoyed tone, saying each word with a slight pause after it,
"He- has- Dragon- brainwashed!!"

"Ah, she has arrived." Ulrezaj grinned. He pressed a button, and in opening a door, let the darikuri in. Standing in the doorway huffing slightly, Ulrezaj used this time to examine her, a wide grin passing over his face.
"I see you've learned to take your morphing capability to a new level... now, with the right training, your powers can match that, too...." Laughing, he closed the door behind her.
"Aurora... now you may personally meet my first reincarnation." Looking at her once, she said plainly,
"Greetings." The dragon snuffed in reply.
"Well, let's not waste any further time! We must be quick if we want to defeat that... scoundrel.." Ulrezaj trailed off. He snapped a finger, and a large arena popped up out of nowhere. He beckoned Dragon to come over, and said,
"Aurora will train you. I have more important duties to attend to..."
He swirled away in a cloud of red smoke, and disappeared. Aurora was already charging up a purple energy around her, and called out, "Come on, hate me! Use your anger to fight! Let your rage take over your mind!"
Dragon screamed, and her skin turned a darker shade of blue. Her eyes now became pupiless, and she grew a few more inches.
"Good, good... but I want to see action!" She hurled a small purple orb at the darikuri's face, bringing pain to her nose and temples. Feeling the anger build up inside her, she screamed again, and let out a beam of fire and ice twisted together, sending Aurora flying ten feet.
In getting up, Aurora's eyes were now glowing with anticipation. She took her sword out of its hilt, and floated upwards into the air, blue rose petals appearing to fly around her. When she reached the dragon's eye height, she called out,
"It isn't all about brute strength, it's about knowing how to defend yourself, too!" In saying this, she flew over the dragon's body and sent a lightning bolt down the beast's spine. She felt the pain shock her, and roaring, turned her head to face the purple yoshi. She sneered at her, her hatred for Aurora growing with each strike of pain. She closed her eyes, and bowed her head to the ground. Red and blue energies swirled around her, and lifted her off the ground as she concentrated on increasing her power. Aurora smiled, and stated,
"Let the fun begin..."

"Damnit! The Nexus is ruined!" The grey archon groaned, as he inspected the entire area for damages. His voice seemed further away when Lich heard a voice coming from the PLT.
"Are you sure that was Dragon?" His dragonite queried. Lich sighed, and said,
"Yes, I'm sure. I could tell..."
"Lich!" Markior called. "I think we should go after Dragon, that way we'll find Ulrezaj, as well." Markior morphed into his solid form, and kicked the Nexus doorframe. Then suddenly, he paused, a look of confusion on his face.
"What is it?" Lich asked. Markior didn't answer, and placed his index fingers on his temples. He closed his eyes and concentrated, blocking out the world around him. A dark room appeared behind his closed eyes, and was seemingly floating above the ground higher than usual, yet he wasn't in his spirit form...
Concentrating harder, he attempted to move his head, and looked at his.... claw? He looked at the other, and noticed that was a claw too. He raised his head, and saw Aurora in all her fighting glory, smirking evilly. He thought for a moment, and tried to move muscles he had never used before... his wings. They flapped, and he opened his eyes wider as he came to a realisation- he was controlling Dragon's body. And he was in Ulrezaj's makeshift lair... he felt the presence of another in his brain, and he connected with it. A voice spoke to him, almost a whisper, but clearly unmistakable.
"M..Markior... he-lp... me.." Dragon was still there, yet had no power over her body. Markior nodded, and replied, "Don't worry, I will." Aurora began to pick up a third being in the room, and said harshly, "Get out, or I shall destroy both of you.."
Markior half laughed, and said with Dragon's tongue, "Aurora, you cannot destroy me..." He channelled a red energy into his claws and threw it at her, draining a quarter of her power. She growled, darting for him with her sword. He easily dodged her attack with a flap of his wings, and let the energy around Dragon's body keep him afloat.
"You don't honestly think you will win on Ulrezaj's side, do you?" He retorted, coming down to her level in the air. She backed away slightly, and she said in a deep voice,
"I believe in myself, light one, and I believe I can destroy you." Markior was a little shocked, as he instantly registered the voice as Ulrezaj himself. Aurora's body glowered, and a shower of icicles went straight for Markior, cutting into the flesh of Dragon's body. He felt her pain, and again she tried to communicate with him, only this time she sent a high frequency signal, hurting his brain. He got the message, and magnified it outwards greatly, causing Aurora to fall slightly. Ulrezaj roared, and made Aurora send a red surge of energy towards the Markior. He winced at the pain in his eyes and throat, and he felt his control over Dragon slipping. The dark archon sent out another, and Markior finally lost his grip, and opened his eyes suddenly, in the open air again and fell to his knees.
"Markior! What the hell happened?" Markior looked at the grassy ground for a moment, then said,
"There's no time to lose. We must get Dragon immediately..."

"That was very disappointing, Riu..." Ulrezaj stated as he returned to his correct form. "You must never let anyone take control of your body, except for me." Dragon attempted to move, but when she realised she still couldn't, she mentally screamed as she flew closer to him and said, "I'm sorry, master. It won't happen again."
He floated away into the shadows, and replied, "Let's hope not." And with a burst of flames, he was gone.
