Chapter CXLVI: A Demon Among Us ~Artemis

Evil laughter echoed through the halls of the marble palace as the tall hooded figure bent over his handiwork. Another figure in a white robe laid unconcious on the floor, a soft green illumination emitting from his body. The hooded figure stretched out a hand, waving it a few times over the green glow. No responce came from it, so the hooded figure lowered his hand a bit more. Carefully, he poked a finger at the green glow, causing it to ripple out from the point of contact. The ripples surrounded the white robed person, and the light emitted a brighter hue. The hooded figure let out a low curse, and straightened up, dropping his hand to his side.
"No luck, my Lord?" A voice from the shadows asked. The hooded figure laughed softly, and waved a hand in a dismissive guesture.
"No worries Caliban. Just means we get to have a little more fun. I should have known that we have to be rid of our little forest paracite before I can get the last Jem."

Caliban stepped out of the shadows to stand besides his Lord, looking down at the white robed figure on the floor. The demon warrior looked down at him in disgust.
"And what of this one, milord?" He questioned with interest. The hooded figure unclasped his cloak, letting it fall to the floor, revealing his large, muscular form.
"Ah, I'll just contain him in a sphere until the forest paricite and companion are eliminated." The larger demon looked around, a faint smile crossing his lips. "Besides, I quite like this little palace. I can just imagine how wonderful it will look consumed by darkness." The smaller demon warrior looked around, and nodded his agreement.
"Quite beautiful I imagine, milord." He replied.

In a swift hand motion, the larger demon trapped the white robed figure in a sphere of darkness. The sphere floated infront, but a little to the side of the tall throne set atop a small platform. The large demon settled himself in the chair, causing it to instantly turn black and look almost decayed. Caliban stood next to the throne, arms folded accross his black armoured chest.
"Would my faithful warrior like to play a game?" The demon sitting on the throne said in a tone dripping with sadism. The warrior nodded his head, an evil smile spreading accross his face.
"Yes Lord Galician, it would be my pleasure." Caliban replied. "What would you have me do, milord?" Lord Galician laughed again, a sound that would make anyone tremble in fear.
"Don't be daft Caliban, you know very well what I wish for you to do." The demon lord said with amusement.
"Yes Lord Galician. With your permission I will leave now." Galician nodded, and Caliban summoned up a portal.
"One last thing Caliban. Don't forget, I need the wolf and the girl alive. Do what you want with the flying cape." The lord said before his warrior stepped through the portal. Lord Galician turned his attention to the floating sphere, where its contents were just becomming aware of what happened.
"Don't worry Kamiko...you can keep your precious Jem." A larger smile crossed the demons lips. "For now."
