Chapter CLVII ~ Chris
The cold night seemed to enclose Chris from the world, and hide him from the world. The downtown slums of torn city buildings up high, had torn up and rippled the moon light to the moderate streets below, filled with people, small shops, and close buildings. (when you picture this, kinda think of Final Fantasy 7) A leap from building to building mid level from the sky to the ground, he leap into abandonded windows, and skeletal structures, which was once filled with corporations. Soon he had gotten to the underground guild.
"Yo Kid, you got my @#%$?" A very large man with suasage like fingers in a shiny blue suit, stood up as Chris made his way into the front room of the Guild Building. It was a "Client" of Chris's, that wasn't welcome around these parts, but he was too obnoctious to notice. Chris dug his hand into his heel pocket, and out came a large golden coin with a ruby in the center. with a flick of the wrist Chris tossed it, and the fat man selfishly jumped for it.
"Wheres my pay, bitch?"
The man walked past Chris and dropped a small leather sac into Chris's coat pocket.
In a flash, the man was suddenly restrained, and in a death lock. Chris held the man with great force, and had a .45 aimed to the mans throat. The man yelped in pain.
"You know damn well that that coin is worth more then whats in that sac, now we had a deal heh?"
Chris brought the gun to the back of the mans head, and let go, to get the sac out. He held the sac upside down, and out fell lumps of metal.
"What the hell do you take me for?"
The Man had now wet his pants, and the smell of egested material filled the room.
He reached into his pockets and dropped 2 handfuls of coins, cash, and dropped his watch on the floor.
"Please just let me go, take it, I just want to coin."
Chris brought the gun down, and holstered, the man still had his back to him.
A sigh of relief filled the room. The man began to walk out, until he found himself flying through the window into street. Chris made his way into his room, a cot and a small nightstand filled the room. With the window open, Chris lay down and took a deep breath of the cool air.
He debriefed himself while the dark room kept him at relaxed.
