Chapter CLX: Cause and Effect ~Galician (Artemis)
Evil laughter rang throughout the walls of the castle and it seemed to darken the place even more. Back inside the throne room, Lord Galician was bending over a floating glass orb. Nearby, Kamiko still stood, trapped in a bubble of darkness, able to hear and see everything that was said and done. Right now however, he wished that wasn't the case.
Lord Galician laughed again as the entire palance shimmered for a moment, but soon returned to its former state. The "Reality Ripple" had just passed through, changing the outcome of the future.
"Thank you, my little flying cape!" Galician laughed. "You've probed very useful to me. I'll have to remember to be merciful when Caliban captures you all. If he doesn't kill you first, that is." Kamiko shuddered, not liking the sound of all this.
"Leave her alone Galician!" He shouted from inside the bubble. The dark lord looked up from the orb, causing it to dissappear with a soft 'pop!'
"So, the high god finally speaks. What's wrong, Kamiko? Do my plans upset you?" He asked in a mocking voice. Galician stood up, walking a circle around Kamiko.
"Stop this Galician. This stupid plan of yours never worked before. What makes you so sure it'll work now?" Kamiko replied. Lord Galician narrowed his eyes in anger, and with a flick of his wrist, electric sparks of darkness shot out at Kamiko from inside the bubble. The high god screamed in pain as he fell to his knees.
"You're in no position to taunt me Kamiko! I alone have the upper hand, and you know it. That pathetic twit Jake is gone, his Jem in my posession. Artemis and Fang will soon follow suite, for they will not win, Friaz has seen to that. And you, my weak counterpart," Galician paused as he settled himself back into his chair, regaining his composure. "Will watch it all. Again."
Once again evil laughter filled the palace, as the first tear fell from Kamiko's eyes.
