Chapter CLXXXII: Dadala's Encounter ~Zephirus

Zephirus proceeded through the forest, keeping his eyes out for any danger. He was followed by Kyanosa, Solari, and Chera, who also remained on the lookout for danger. Zephirus had been alerted by the wind to 2 presences nearby. He expected Dadala to be one of them, while the others expected Infects. "See anything friend?" Zephirus whispered. "Nope," Kyanosa replied, in an equally quiet voice. "Solari?" Zephirus asked, maintaining the whisper. "Not a thing," she replied. "What about you, Chera?" Zephirus asked, still whispering. "Nothing," Chera replied, also whispering. Zephirus received another message from the wind, that the presences were moving away, and he let a sigh of relief. The group loosened up from their tensed positions, and put away their respective weapons. "Good thing we didn't run into them," Solari stated. Chera nodded, and Kyanosa added, "Well, we probably could have held em off if they were Infects, but who really wants to find out?" The group nodded in unison, and started off once more when they were knocked off their feet by an explosion. "What was that?!" Zephirus cried.

Dadala smiled under his face wrappings, holding his sword ready, looking down at the charred ground below him. "You missed," he said cockily, looking over at Necrominus, who he had ambushed. A slash ran across the back of Necrominus's right arm and his cape was rather shredded. He also looked rather angry. Necrominus gathered up another blast of energy in his weapon and aimed at Dadala, shouting, "I wont miss this time!" and fired. Dadala swerved to the side, the blast striking a tree and igniting it in flames. "Looks like you did...and looks like you're gonna burn the forest down too. Tsk tsk tsk, to shame," Dadala said with a chuckle. Necrominus growled, and grabbed the flaming tree, uprooting it and swinging it at Dadala, throwing flames onto the other trees. Dadala took to the air, dodging the swing, and Necrominus leapt at him, swinging once more. This time he connected, flinging Dadala into the sands of the desert. Necrominus landed where Dadala had, but found him nowhere in sight. *Huh? Where'd he go?* Necrominus thought as he looked around for the mercenary. Out of nowhere, a blast struck Necrominus from behind, throwing him forward and flinging the tree from his hands. Necrominus slowly got up, the blackened spot on his back sizzling. Dadala blowed the smoke from his blaster's barrel, twirled it, and holstered, smiling under his wrappings. "Aren't too fast mentally or physically, are you? Heh," Dadala stated as Necrominus dusted himself off. "You will die for your insolence, fool," Necrominus warned. "Look buddy, I don't want to have to kill you, I just didn't want you getting to Zeph before I did," Dadala stated, smiling still. "Zeph? Who's Zeph? I'm not looking for anyone named Zeph, I'm looking for two felines and a guy with a yo-yo," Necrominus said, puzzled. Dadala chuckled, and said, "Heh, sorry, can't let ya have them either." Necrominus growled, and menacingly stated, "Look, fool, you should get out of my way. I will destroy you if you don't." Dadala chuckled again, and replied, "Considering your previous performance, I highly doubt that, skull boy." Necrominus turned, enraged, and shouted, "Skull boy?! SKULL BOY?!?! Why you...I'LL RIP YOU APART!!!" Necrominus charged toward Dadala, eyes filled with rage, hands ready to grab Dadala and rip him clean in two. Dadala smiled under his wrappings and charged forward as well. The two met. Dadala slashed and Necrominus punched. Dadala flew back, landing hard in the sand, and Necrominus stood eyes wide, his right arm lying in the sand, his arm socket and the shoulder crackling with electricity. The arm exploded, knocking Necrominus out of what appeared to be shock, and he screamed in rage. "YEARRRRRRRRRRRGH!!!" Dadala got up slowly, holding his chest. One of his ribs had been broken. He looked at Necrominus, and smiled as he saw the missing arm. "Feeling disarmed, skull boy?" Dadala uttered, coughing up some blood. Necrominus growled, and ran, shouting back, "I'll get you, fool! The master will not be pleased! You're gonna die for this!!" Necrominus disappeared into the distance, and Dadala fell to his knees, grimacing in pain. "Agh...skull boy's got one hell of a punch..." he uttered before heading back into the forest to go back after Zephirus.

*Wonder what that explosion was,* Zephirus thought as he and the others continued along. They had heard the explosions of both of Necrominus's blasts. Night was setting in, and they decided to go to sleep for the night. They found a clearing, made some spots to sleep and a fire, and drifted off to sleep. Later that night, Zephirus slowly opened his eyes, having smelled something burning. When he opened his eyes, he saw the result of Necrominus's small fire he had started earlier: the forest was ablaze. "Guys, wake up," he shouted to his companions, "the forest is on fire!"
