Chapter CLXXXV: Divine ~Prism
Ow...damn...
Prism groaned loudly as she pushed a large boulder off of her right wing, its normally pure white feathers soaked in crimson. Her sapphire eyes, filled with tears of intense pain, looked worriedly around her. Markior, of course, was fine, helping the battered Optimus out from the rubble. The cloud of white still hovered over her head, but apparently she had forgotten to use the super star when Pseudo attacked. Stupid.... She somehow managed to stand, though thrown off balance somewhat by her wing, which was obviously broken.
"F***." Prism murmured softly as pain shot through her wing. "H...help?" she called weakly as she began to feel dizzy from the loss of blood. She nearly fell, Markior catching her just in time.
"Not again..." Markior sighed, lying Prism down onto her back. "You seem to be getting the worst of this..."
"No..." Prism smiled weakly. "We're all getting the worst of it. The others..." Her voice was cut off by her tears for a few moments, but she wiped them away quickly and continued. "They're in danger. Havering's hurting them, I just know it. I feel it. The gods...they're..." She gasped and suddenly sat up, her pupils dialating somewhat. "OLYMPUS!" She screamed.
"What?" Markior blinked. "What about--?"
"Havering has gotten to them..." the Hoshian princess cried, covering her face with her hands. "The stars have sensed it and relayed the information to me. My dear dear friends..." She sighed sadly and uncovered her face, revealing an expression of rage. "This time he has crossed the line."
The Markior nodded. "Agreed. I'm going after them." He said, turning to Opty. "Watch over her. I'll send someone over to take her back to the cit-"
"NO." Prism interrupted, standing again with all of her strength. "I'm coming with you."
"Uh...your wing is broken." Optimus pointed out. "That would kinda be...dumb?"
"Ridiculous." The Xel'Naga added, placing his hands on his gaseous hips. "And you know it Prism.
"I have the Super Stars on my side," the Hoshian retorted, trying to convince herself just as much as the others. "And I may be able to access the Divine Crystal. If I do..." Her eyes looked hazy for a moment, before she continued, "I can do this. I know I can."
"No way, Prism." Markior sighed. "Sorry."
"What will it take to convince you...huh?" Prism snarled, opening her hand as her Crystalo staff appeared in it. "Will it take this to convince you?" She raised her staff into the air, calling out:
"Elements with Light combine
In Me to make the Power Divine!"
Suddenly, six crystals appeared in front of Prism, circling around her Crystal of Light. The crystals merged, becoming the opalescent Divine Crystal, which now hung about the yoshi's neck. Her clothing became an ivory dress. Her right wing was immediately healed, and two more sets of wings sprouted from her back. The power which surged through her caused her hair to grow rapidly, now reaching her ankles. The Crystalo Staff morphed as well, now having three crystals atop it and having another at the bottom.
She smirked at Markior's and Opty's rather shocked reaction. "This is what the Divine Crystal does whenever I use it. It doesn't make me immortal...in fact, far from it. But it does give me an extra boost of power...and heals all my ailments." With a movement of her staff, the Divine Crystal shattered, all of the shards save her Crystal of Light disappearing, having gone back to their rightful places. Prism, of course, reverted back to her original form, but her wing was no longer broken. "I can't use it that often though. Otherwise its power becomes useless." She paused. "But I can use it against the demons...and I intend to." She smiled as the two guys nodded their heads blankly.
"So..." She began as her staff disappeared. "Shall we go now?" Without waiting for an answer, she began in the direction in which Havering had left, her little white cloud still hovering over her head.
