Chapter CXCIV: Revolution: Mêlée, a Zergling Surprise, and a Drunk Agent ~Markior

Lord Ulrezaj, the Golden Dark Archon appeared on the mountain, with a swift movement of his disembodied claw, an army of mindcontrolled Zerg trampled forwards, with Princess Aurora at their lead. The now gigantic Dragon, eyes flaming with rage, stomped on the ground, leaving footprints like craters as she followed close behind. From the opposite side, Markior's army of Protoss marched forwards, yelling out their battle cries, weapons held high. Lord Ulrezaj narrowed his eyes the moment the two armies crushed into each other in the middle of the field, knowing the battle what would later be known as the Zolott Campaign was beginning. He thrusts his claws forwards, sending dark psiblasts into Markior's army, yelling out mentally. "GET THEM!! GET THEM!! DESTROY THEM ALL!" Dragoons fired their plasma shots into Dragon, collapsing into the giant's form but causing little damage. Inhaling deeply, she looked down at the Protoss on the ground. With a flap of her wings, she flew up and set the field afire, making the Protoss run for their lives. Aurora leaped herself through the Protoss army, slashing her sword through the aliens's armor, and one time even slicing a Protoss Reaver in two, the worm-like robot exploding after mere seconds. Ulrezaj roared out in laughter, knowing he would be winning this war. He called forth a psychic screen... "See this, Koopa?" He grinned, looking at the imprisoned Tob. He knew he could see through the psychic-made screen at the battle. "Markior's army is losing. I shall be victorious, and Markior shall be no more."

Tob however, had more important things to worry about. The ground of his cell was opening up at an incredibly slow rate, letting him see just a glimpse of the neverending pit below. He knew that this was Ulrezaj's way of killing off his enemies; Slow, filling them with fear of the inevitable. He looked around from his cell... Nothing was there that could be used to break out. The only things there were a torch, and a wooden chair.. Even though the bars looked old and not as solid as they used to be, they were still much too strong for him to break. He looked outside his cell to the far side, and saw a portal there opening up... He narrowed his eyes, not knowing what or who would come out, and wheter that what or who would be friend or foe...

Meanwhile, Markior soared through the sky outside of the Nexus, the energy around him burning. He flew up in a semi-circle so he faced down and flew into the water a while away from the base, the water splashing up on impact. He kept his eyes opened, the water inneffective to his eyes thanks to the shielding of energy surrounding him. He scanned the area for mana difference, and ridiculously easy found Lich, one of the highest peaks on the face of the planet, or slightly below that. He hit the brakes as he sensed Havering with him, now floating still in the water. "Hrmm..." He thought, and closed his eyes, mentally bending all light around him. Now cloaked to invisibility, he entered the cavern-like complex of Ark's robotics centre.

Ark glanced over as the twilighter appeared. Lich was aghast. "So, Mr. Beruga, you have our guest...oh Mr. lizard, you didn't like me taking your toy, did you? Well guess what?" Pseudo removed his helmet and contacts, revealing his upright hair and power pulsing eyes. "I'm an Immortal now. I have all the Harvesters, as well as the keycard. I crushed miss Prism, as well as Mr. Opty, and now, Ark kills you. You're dropping like flies, you little whelp. You're killing yourselves, cretins. I'd tell you to turn back and spare your life, but my friend Ark here is about to do something very very nasty to you. Enjoy your last moments." Havering stated as he walked towards the exit and then vanished. His last words rung in the air. "Ark, kill him, or you face me."

Lich looked at Ark, and Ark returned the stare... the brethren standing there for several minutes, before a for Lich familiar voice entered their minds. "Well... Havering surely is jumping to conclusions these days. He's growing as self-asured as I am." Lich blinked and looked around. "Markior??" Ark looked around puzzled. Markior snickered and decloaked infront of them, hands behind his back. "Nice place you got here, Ark." He narrowed his eyes, white mist-like light floating from them as he looked at Ark. "Weren't planning on hurting your own brother, were you?" He smirked. Lich jumped and placed his hand infront of the spirit. "No... everything is fine now." He looked between Ark and Markior, as the two of them were focussed into each other, locked in stares both cold and alien. It was as if they were sharing thousands and thousands of words of knowledge at the same time, untill Markior blinked his eyes.

"We must depart here, Lich, Ark. The surface needs us, and I still must find Multex." Ark nodded and walked over to a row of super computers. "I know what to do... I've included this little gadget here..." He smiled. When pushing the red button, the ground began to shake, and the elevator-like feeling of being lifted were felt by Lich and Markior. The water of the lake rose, like a giant hand pushing the water up from underneith. Dev the Zergling chirped and ran away, back to the Nexus as Ark's entire complex rose up from the lake, and took place next to Markior's Protoss city, water still streaming off of the towers with some greenery remaining. Markior smiled. "Well, that's... special." He grinned. "Let's get a move on.." He looked at Lich and frowned. "Lich... I must tell you something." Lich looked up at Markior. "What?" The spirit looked at Lich and placed his hand on his fronthead. "Dragon has returned at first, but.... she is on a rampage. I have told my army to restrain her, but not kill her. However, I fear that they will not be strong enough." Ark looked at Lich. "Who's Dragon? A friend of yours, brother?" Lich looked back. "Dragon is my love, Ark.. She and I are more then just friends." He responded, before looking at the exit. "Well... what are we waiting for? Let's GO!" Lich grabbed the Boomerang of Light and his belt from the table, Ark grabbed a remote and his Spear of Darkness, and the three of them moved quickly towards the exit.

The ground below Tob was opening up more now, and he was starting to sweat. With Ulrezaj's departure, he was left alone in the castle... If only he could break free. Finally, an idea hit him. He grabbed the wooden chair, leapt over the hole in the middle of his cell, and grabbed the torch. Sitting infront of the old bars of his cell, he started a fire by burning up the chair with the torch. The bars started to glow red soon... "Ok, spirit-boy... if I'm making this out alive, you're gonna have your dam*ed crystals... or else the bill of my insurance company."

Inside the Nexus, the chaos was replaced by silence as all the Protoss were on the battlefield. "Lich, Ark. Remain here and guard the base. I have no idea what might happen next, but right now, I cannot afford to take any cha--" He was cut off by Ark. "No problem, Markior. I'll have my robots do the defense around here." Ark pushed a button on the remote, and outside, a hatch opened with robots coming out and taking a defensive pose in a circle around the base and complex's perimiter. Markior quirked a non-exsistant brow. "Nice." He grinned, and turned around. Dev the Zergling approched the three from behind. "Very well, in that case, let's get going to the battlefield." He started moving, but a familiar female voice stopped him in his tracks. "You're... not... going... anywhere... Protoss." Markior froze up for a moment, and slowly turned around... He knew that voice. That dreaded, dark female voice.

With a screech and a few splatters of blood, Dev the Zergling ripped open from above, and a female rose up from it's cracked carpache. Her face was greenish brown, she had long spike-like hair, and bat-like wings, but only the skeleton of which. She grinned sinisterly and grabbed Lich around the neck, pointing her claw at his spine. "One move, Protoss... and your friend is very, very dead.." Markior was flabbergasted, staring at the woman. "Kerrigan..." He mumbled. Kerrigan nodded. "The same, Protoss... since when do Zerglins have genders, hrm? You though it was a male all the time... Admit it, a great disguise." She cackled. Markior grumbled... "But.. how? Why? You were the first one I met on Zolott.. You even helped me defeat some Zerg... You protected the base, even!" He moved forwards just a little, but Kerrigan threatingly pressed her claw against Lich's back. Ark took a step backwards and clenched his fists. "Who IS this woman?!" He looks at Markior. Markior looks to the side at Ark. "She's.." Kerrigan herself interrupts. "I'm the queen bitch of the universe, lizard. The name's Kerrigan, and I am Queen of the Zerg." Markior clenched his fists. "What do you want, Kerrigan?" He rumbled. Kerrigan grinned. "I want the twin crystals, Protoss... What your kind did to my kind back on Shakuras, I can do to your kind on Aiur. I tagged along with you, waiting untill the twin crystals would be summoned here... I was *this* close to getting them, before Ulrezaj got them before I did. But when I have you under control, I'll get my hands on the Uraj and the Khalis nontheless!" She laughs. Markior frowned.. "Total annihilation of the Protoss.. You'd like that, hrm?"

Ulrezaj roared as he sent in another blast of red energy, striking down a High Templar who vaporized in a puff of blue smoke. "Dam*ed illusions." Ulrezaj rumbled, continueing his assault. Although they were losing, Markior's army was far from giving up, and actually killed many of the mindcontrolled Zerg forces. Aurora and Dragon however cut through the army with very little wounds, a minor scratch or so, but both were too highly trained by Ulrezaj for the Protoss forces to beat. That, and they had gotten their orders.. killing the two females was strictly forbidden. Ulrezaj called in a swarm of Mutalisks, but the Protoss had the advantage in the air with their superiour technoligy, Protoss corsairs frying the winged beasts. It were indeed Aurora, Dragon and Ulrezaj who tipped the schales into their favour.

Markior and Kerrigan held a staring contest... "Well, Markior?" The queen of the Zerg grinned. "Ready to help me destroy your people by getting those crystals for me?" Markior narrowed his eyes, responding: "Kerrigan, I'm not sure if you've really been paying attention when you were disguised as Dev..." Kerrigan shrugged. "Havering is of no interest to me right now. He's cute though, so when I kill the Protoss and the Zerg are once again the most powerful species in the galaxy, I might make him King of the swarm. If he asks nicely." Kerrigan grinned. Markior blinked and coughed a little. "Right... well, Kerrigan... Let me tell you this. Havering will destroy the entire Zerg swarm if he wanted to, and when he gets bored after he wins here, he might do just that." Kerrigan blinked and kept silent, looking at the Markior. "So we must stop him from winning here... For your sake, too. For everyone in the multiverse's sake." Kerrigan looked distracted, but Markior didnt grab this opportunity to free Lich from her grasp. He knew she was wiser then she seemed even trough her relative young age. With a displeased grunt, she released Lich and pushed him towards Markior. Lich looked at Kerrigan and grinned. "Thank you. You're too kind." Kerrigan gave a hiss towards Lich, then looked at Markior. "Fine. But don't think this means I'm at your side now, Protoss. I'm doing this purely out of selfpreservation." She placed her claws on her hips.

They moved to the battlechamber, looking at the screen that displayed the Observer's monitoring of the battlefield. Markior whinced everytime a Protoss died, as Kerrigan smirked. Kerrigan frowned when more Zerg were slaughtered, with Markior grinning. Ark and Lich looked at the two. "Will you two stop that?" They said in unison, the Archon and Infested Terran looking at them and nodding. Markior pointed at a map. "Here's the plan... the Protoss are stronger in numbers right now compared to the Zerg, which means they'll probably win every 1 on 1 collision. Kerrigan pointed a finger to the map. "I'll take on Ulrezaj... He'll pay for mindcontrolling my prescious Zergies." Markior looked at her. "Zergies?" He blinked, and started to laugh. Kerrigan hissed and bitch-slapped him in the face. "Shaddup." She hissed. Markior grumbled. "Ark, do you have any powers that are helpfull in this endeavor?" Ark nodded and gripped his spear. "I have mastered all the spells of Salamando, Shade and Dryad, Markior." The spirit nodded. "Lich, you go and try to return Dragon to normal." He turned. "Ark, you must approch Aurora. She's the Yoshian princess you'l find there... When you see her...." He turned around and produced a blue rose from under his shouldershield. "Show her this." Ark took the rose in his hand and nodded. "And Kerrigan..." He grinned. "Well, I know who you'll be going after. Be carefull though.. He's Golden now." Kerrigan smirked. "I have trained many years to beat you, Protoss. Ulrezaj will be a fine practice... Golden or not." She laughs. Markior turned and looked out of the window, with Kerrigan, Lich and Ark looking at him. Kerrigan smirked. "And what are -you- gonna do, Protoss?" Markior narrowed his eyes. "I'm gonna find Multex."

The battlefield was true chaos. Many feroscious Zerg forces had been slaughtered, and many proud warriors had fallen. Ulrezaj laughed maniacilly as he stood high above the battlefield... Aurora looked up and nodded at Ulrezaj, letting him know they were winning. Back at the Protoss City, Kerrigan lifted a claw and let out a loud screech that echoed through the skies... From high above, a gigantic Zerg Overlord came flying, it's tendrils hanging down from the ventral sacs that made up it's underside. It hovered up and hung above Kerrigan, Lich and Ark. Markior nodded and jumped up, charged himself with power, and jetted off, starting to search the planet. Ark and Lich eyetwitched as Kerrigan leapt up and disappeared into the foul-stenching walls of flesh of the Overlord's chest. Kerrigan looked down and frowned. "Yggdrasil is clean, you lizards. Now get up here or are you sissies?!" Ark and Lich narrowed their eyes and jumped up, into the Overlord. Yggdrasil sped with amazing speed towards the battlefield.

Markior soared over the surface of the planet with balded fists, crossing the various landscapes that made up Zolott, flieing through a mountain and low over the oceans so the water rose up due to his speed... Searching for Multex. He catched glimpses of many others while he sped along, but everywhere where he looked it was the same sight. The look of fear glued on the faces of men and women, and even the animals. He could only hope Prism and Opty where doing their best to keep the Infects at bay. "Multex... where ARE you, you overpowered 8-ball?" He rumbled... After a long while of search, he stopped. "I'm never finding him this way... I should spread more Observers.." He whispered to himself in mi-air, and returned to the Protoss city. "Come to think of it, I need a drink."

The Markior landed infront of the Protoss Pub, a building only the highest executors themselves were allowed to warp in. With a sigh, he entered and took a seat. "Give me the usual, Da'emn." He rumbled. A glass of psi-beer sliding down the bar and landing in his hand, he took a gulp. With a firm PAT on the back, the psi-beer plunged into his face. "WEEELL!! Fancy meeting YOU here, smaaah.. smokey!" A wobbly voice yelled. After whiping off the psi-beer with his arm, the Markior turned to look into the slightly to very much drunk face of Multex. He blinked. "YOU got zome GOOD stuff in here, smaaah.. smokey. I dink I like like like this brrrp... better then ANYthing I've taataasted before!" The agent hiccupped.

Markior opened his mouth to say something, pointing his finger against the Agent's chest. "......" He stared a while like that for a while, pointing at him with open mouth. "....." ... ... ... "Nnnever mind. Let's get you sober."
