Zephirus and Gundoh looked at the massive Genesis in shock. "What the hell is that?" Zephirus asked. Gundoh was too shocked to respond, and suddenly both were deafened by a horrifying screech...the same screech that Zephirus had earlier heard from the creature they were tracking. Both looked in the direction of the screech at its end, and saw the alien floating, eyes on a massive ship approaching them. The alien took off toward it. Zephirus shouted, "That's it! After it, Gundoh!" and flew after the beast, Gundoh close behind. As defense cannons across the surface of the ship fired upon the alien Zephirus and Gundoh gave chase, both parties expertly dodging the cannons. The alien landed and turned, and Zephirus and Gundoh did the same. The creature flashed a grin, and held up its hands in a battle stance, claws growing on all fingers and an aura of purple energy surrounding the creature. Zephirus unstrapped his lance, twirled it, then snapped into a battle stance as Gundoh unsheathed his sword and unholstered a submachine gun resembling an Uzi, holding one in each hand. The two sides stared each other down, waiting for the other to make a move.

The alien was the first to attack, swinging a hand at the 2 and sending an energy wave their way. Zeph jumped upward and Gundoh jumped over, rolling to his feet and opening fire with his gun. Zeph hurled his lance at the creature, which floated backward. It gathered an energy ball in a palm and flung it at Gundoh. Gundoh attempted to dodge but failed, and was blown across the surface of the ship, skidding to a stop several feet from the battle. Zeph dove for his lance, pulling it from the ground and slashing at the creature. The creature grabbed the shaft of the lance and delivered a slash to Zeph's stomach with its claws, then blew him back with a powerful wave of invisible energy, sending Zeph flying. As he was about to fly off the ship, Gundoh grabbed his hand and helped him up. Zeph looked up upon getting back on the ship and tried to warn Gundoh, but was too late as the creature blasted Gundoh point-blank with an energy blast. Gundoh flew to the ground far below, his body engulfed in flames. "Damnit," Zeph said to himself. He angrily charged the creature, stabbing into its chest with the blades of the lance and hurling it off the ship. Just as it was about to fly off it grabbed the handle of the lance, jerking Zeph down with it. The two fell into a rainforest, and shortly after a huge explosion of energy was seen below...

Astra screamed aloud as he snapped out of his dream. He felt strangely cold, and saw the sky above. Huh? he thought, wondering where the roof of his room had gone. He looked down and noticed he was falling downward toward some large blimp-looking thing. He noticed he was dressed in his normal clothes instead of his nightclothes, and grabbed for his sword. Exclaiming "Yes!" as he gripped the hilt, he unsheathed it, and shouted, "Gem Blade, assume Topaz properties! Summon Roc!" The crystalline-bladed Gem Sword in his hands then turned to topaz, and a few seconds later the caw of an eagle was heard, and from the sun descended the massive shadow of the legendary Roc. The huge bird scooped Astra up and circled, waiting for its passenger to choose a destination. Astra searched the area around him, and saw a massive black warship below. "What in the name of the Gods is that thing?" The Roc began to fly toward it, but Astra stopped it, spotting the blimp-like ship he had earlier seen. He pointed to it, and the Roc swiftly flew toward it, maintaining its speed, flying beside it. Astra felt something watching him, and looked around. He saw nothing, except a strange distortion that floated around them. He scratched his head, shrugged, and noticed as the doors inside the ship opened. Astra and his Roc pet flew inside, and Astra hopped off, the Roc cawing loudly and flying back into the sun, disappearing. Astra turned, and was greeted by two strange aliens in futuristic-looking suits of armor. "Who are you guys, and what's that ship out there?" The two aliens grabbed him and dragged him off, mumbling something about someone named Markior...
