Chapter CCXXVII: The Power of Gods ~Vector

"… … Scanning terrain. Heat sensors on. Target not detected."
A blue mechanical Yoshi walked through the forest, looking for tale-tale heat trails and the sound of a sonic boom, the two things that gave his target away. As it treaded through the trees on its thin metal legs, it scanned its surroundings with its glowing red eyes. It listened intently, and sped off, hearing a boom. It hovered above the ground, its turbine whining loudly as it skimmed over the landscape.

Vector stared up at the Genesis with awe. He had narrowly escaped the Protoss City before it went up with a flash.
"If I didn’t know any better, I’d say that thing’s a menace." He said. He stared up, his fists clenched. He wanted to help destroy it, but had no idea how. He spotted something in the rubble of the city, and appeared next to it, a sonic boom ripping the landscape. He looked down, and eyed the Khalis crystal.
"Oh yeah. That thing’s goin’ down now." He said, grinning. He picked the crystal up, and looked at the Genesis. He held the crystal above his head, and prayed that what he was about to try would work. Sure enough, he felt the energy of the crystal surge through his body, empowering it, and surrounding him with a white ball of energy. Inside the ball, his skin changed color from its normal shade of blue, to a brilliant golden hue, and his hair faded from blond to blue. The ball of energy faded, and he stared at the Genesis with his blood red eyes. He shot into the air, laving a trail of crackling energy in his wake. He had used the power of the Khalis crystal to transform himself to his ‘Hyper’ state, nearly immortal, and with strength enough to put gods to shame. He was in the direct path of the Genesis, and darted towards it. His speed parted the air around him, shaking the world with a sonic boom, staring straight ahead, setting himself on a collision course with the battleship.
