Chapter CCXLVI: Raising the Stakes ~Multex
On the Zolott skyline, the Genesis lay in the massive crater, unmoving. It was a quiet scene, until several of the lights snapped on in the massive warship. There was a wavering in the air, right before the massive purple barrier domed around it. Now, the Genesis was only accessible from the inside, as it disrupted even teleporting to the interior. Havering's eye twiched as he felt the loss of the energy signatures of Malus and Spiite. That meant he had three men left. These would have to count.

Scorn waited in the third spire. A clattering of metal behind him made the robot turn around. He noticed a similar form behind him, and he snickered. "So, little coward's here?" The form glared back. "Shut up, Scorn. I may not be one a Havering's todies any more, but that doesn't mean I won't take the chance to smash these worms. You're relieved here." Scorn snickered and raised his hands. "If you say so, weakling. Just hope yer muscle is bigger than yer mouth." The figure glared, and Scorn simply shook his head, walking off.

Vaurix waved, then walked off, leaving Pyrak walking towards the remains of the 4th tower, talking to himself. He sneered. "Fools...they may not know it, but I've been holdin' back on 'em. I could tango with the other Infects single handedly. The fools." He snickered, shaking his head as he headed for the spire remains.

Multex, 6400, Prismaya, and Vector stopped in front of a massive metal door with a large SPH insignia. Multex leaned against the door while the others sat down. All was calm for a bit, until his eyes sprung open. "You guys hear that?" he asked, the others shaking their heads. He frowned. "Hmm, Agent training makes me a good listener. Power's flowin' through this thing, like it's reading something." No sooner were the words out of his mouth than a purple barrier sprung up around the Genesis. He closed his eyes again and folded his arms. "Don't know who's goin' where, but hope they make it fast...something tells me this thing still has some tricks up it's sleeve..."
If only the Agent knew how accurate he was...
