Chapter CCLIV: Thinking of the Others ~Markior

As they made their way back to the main hall of the Genesis, the small group consistant out of Sirocco, Astra, Kerrigan and Markior were, for the most part, silent. At the start of their way back, numerous 'congrats' and you-did-great's' had been exchanged, but those words had sunk into silence by now... The only sounds were the metallic clicking of Sirocco's feet, and the carpache'd claws of Kerrigan clicking against the metal walkways... Within the relative silence, Markior closed his eyes as he moved along, and used the powers he had received from his status as Yoshi God of the Mind... Hearing the grand orchestra of thoughts by all the inhabitants of the ship... Their thoughts, their wishes.. their fear, their courage...

Markior blinked a few times. Something was blocking him from using his mental capabilities on this specific person. "Must be Havering.." He mumbled. Astra looked up at the Archon. "What about Havering?" He asked, as the group passed a number of computers. Markior rumbled. "Nothing.. Just thinking out loud." He closed his eyes again, thinking to himself. "Who was this CR person? It was like.. like I knew him my entire life, but I couldn't place him anywhere in my memory. He seemed so... plain, too. But the power he held.." He slightly opened his eyes to a narrowed position. "Maybe he's the embodiment of something my people call "fate". We must all be destined to be here, doing what we're supposed to do." Closing his eyes again, he listened to the thoughts on the ship. He had been yelled at numerous times for reading someone's thoughts unintentionally, and had been wary of making it a habit.

It was Prism. Markior frowned lightly at her insecurity.. He knew, from personal experience from his battle with Ulrezaj, that insecurity like that could be deadly.. Placing two fingers on one of his temples, he emitted his thoughts over towards the Hoshi. "Come now, Princess. Do you really think you're that weak?" Prism's thoughts stayed quiet. "An entire mountain landed on you earlier on, Prism.. And all it did was bend one of your wings." Prism's thoughts finally responded. "Markior.. that you?" "Indeed.. We're on our way to meet up with Multhex and you and the others. We've gotten the second keycard." Markior responded. Prism stood up. "Hey, everyone! They got the second keycard!" 6400 Looked up at the Hoshi. "Hmm? How do you know?" Prism blinked. "Markior just told me... telepathy and all." She stared forwards a little, then grumbled, closing her eyes and thinking strongly. "Markior! You didn't just read my thoughts, did you?!" Markior kept his fingers placed against his temple. "Hmm.. Only the part about you thinking you're not usefull.. ... Why?" Prism smiled, responding; "Nothing.. And quit the pep-talk, mister psychic. Just concentrate on coming over here.."

Markior removed his fingers from his temple, before he bumped into a wall. "Hmf.." Opening his eyes, he hears Kerrigan. "Protoss, stop floating around with your eyes closed.. It's this way!" Markior turned the corner and resumed the path back to the rest of the group.
