Chapter CCLXIX: Foreshadowing ~Astra
Astra watched Sirocco walk away. He didn't understand it. Sirocco couldn't have been born here from what he had been told about Zolott. It wasn't possible. Astra scratched his head and vanished as CR returned him to Suahar.
"Uggh..." Lord Sphinx groaned, awakening. He found himself in a puddle of his own blood. It was salty and smelled strangely sour. He put his weight on his hands and lifted himself, the still-liquid blood on his body dripping. He got to his feet, and glanced around the room. "Damned lizard," he cursed, wiping some of the blood off of his face. The 4 stab wounds in his chest pulsed with light and ached intensely. He was angry and distraught with his humiliating defeat, and also feeling rather hopeless...he could never kill Astra as long as he was able to transform into the mighty Gilgamesh. Then he caught a gleaming black object on the ground. A fang-filled grin crossed his face. "I can sense it...the power of Gilgamesh reversed...encased inside this obsidian gem." He bent down and lifted it from the ground, reveling in its dark power. He cackled menacingly, then shouted, "Astra! The day I take my sweet vengeance on you is swiftly moving from the future to the present! Prepare to face the antithesis of Gilgamesh: Altair, arise!" It was then that Lord Sphinx vanished, just after placing the obsidian gem to his forehead.
