Name: Chanlin Avian

Species: Nightwing (he and his brother are the last of his kind)

Age: 2167 1/2 about 26 on earth.

Homeworld: Kil'Aloch a world inhabited largely by dragons and elves.

History: The Nightwings were a proud people. 5000 years ago on Kil'Aloch they fought alongside Dragon's and Elves in The Great War of the Fold against creature which later became known as Kayens. As a final blow the Kayens infected the Dragons with a strange blood disease. The Nightwings used their magic to create a creature that would extract the Dragons' tainted blood. However, the disease corrupted the creature and thus Vampires were born on Kil'Aloch.
After som time the Vampires formed the Assembly of Seven, seven of the strongest Vampires came to rule the world.
Some time later Chanlin was adopted unbeknownst to him by a family of elves in a small village in the Vanwal forest. From there he grew up with his adopted family as one of their own. One day, the Assembly attacked the village to harvest it for blood. Chanlin was the only survivor.
Chanlin grew up with rage in his heart for the Assembly and infiltrated it working as a mercenary for them. He used his fighting techniques taught to him by his adopted father, and his magic taught to him by his mother to become a skilled assassin, killing those the assembly thought a threat.
It was on one mission Chanlin met his first love Crystia Trueheart. He called her Crys for short. It was then he first learned of the Nightwing race. Crys said he was one as well. It was then Chanlin realized he still had morals from all the killing he had done, he could not bring himself to kill the woman he loved. The assembly imprissoned him. He later escaped and Crys took him to meet Kristiana Saevor, leader of The Black Sun, a group that opposed the Assembly.
With this group, Chanlin went to war. History recorded that war as The Great Breaking. To this day songs are still sung of the feats of the Black Sun. However, the Black Sun lost, Crys, Chanlin, and Kristiana were the only survivors of the group and Chanlin was imprisoned again, this time to be executed for treason.
At the executioners block, Crystia rescued him one last time, and was killed herself in the escape. Lamenting her death and hoping to die himself, Chanlin escaped to wonder the underworld for 15 years, honing his fighting and magic skills against hordes of undead creatures. Eventually he escaped to the planet of Haikarin, where he met his wife Rynn.
While traveling Haikarin, Chanlin saw a women who bore a striking resemblance to Crystia who was under attack. He rescued her hoping it was his love and was dismayed when she turned out not to be. However, Chanlin and Rynn stuck together since both were on a strange world and needed a friend. After a while, they fell in love, and married.
Since then, they had a daughter, Mara.

Unique Abilities: Being a Nightwing, Chanlin is an expert with magic, and also a magic of Armed and unarmed Fighting techniques. But his most uniques ability is that to change his form.

Were-Cat: A Humanoid Cat that stands on two legs, with grey fur and yellow eyes. In this form Chanlin's magic is at it's weakest. However, he boasts increased Strength and greater speed and agility.

True Nightwing: Not really true Nightwing, this is a Hybrid Cross between a Gargoyle and a Firelizard. In this form Chanlin has all white fur and black wings. His eyes are red within black. In this form his magic is at it's near highest.

Half-Mer: In this form Chanlin is decked out in scales and his wings form back to makeshift fins to help him swim. In this form his magic is limited to sonic, force, and water spells. However, he is very fast in the water and can alos breath underwater as well.

Quicksilver: In this form Chanlin is a pile of Silver goo. Though he can use no magic in this form, he can deal some heavy damage as wel as change shape to anything he wants and fit into small spaces. He is immune to most physical damage, but highly susceptable to Magical attacks.

Dragon: Chanlin becomes a 9ft long black dragon. He rarely uses this form except to fly very long distances and fight many enemies at once. In this form his Magic and Physical abilites are maxed out.

Chanlin also shares a telepathic link with his wife Rynn.


Description: Chanlin stands 6 feet even, and for the most part looks like an elf, with long brown hair and silver eyes. From his back protrude two black wings, hence the name Nightwing. He has black scales around his eyes as well. He usually keeps the wings and scales hidden. At his waist he wears an array of belt pouches, and two katanas. At his wrists he wears two retractable wrist blades. He also wears black boots, brown leather pants, a white shirt and green vest.
